Never really took DXO MARK seriously but for real , the s21 ultra became so much better after the april update especially on the snapdragon 888 version, but the mi11 ultra needs to check the HDR on their portrait photos and tweak the contast processing a bit and it would have been the better rear camera but they will never compete againt other flagships in the selfie department until they decide to put a 4k60fps option on the videos. great comparaison as always han

I can only imagine thr amount of work that has gone beyond this video. As a content creator myself,I truly understand and appreciate it. Personally,because I have done and still do photography professionally from time to time,I still believe that having solid hardware is essential as software an always be improved but hardware cannot.So,in that sense,the Mi 11 Ultra is what I would definitely go for as I truly cannot justify the excess cost of the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. Still waiting for the Mi 11 Ultra to launch in India and will try to do a review from a purely photographers perspective. Honestly mi 11 ultra is a beast, comparing the price tag and higher expectations expected from oneplus9 pro and S21ultra, mi 11 is still outstanding. Honestly i think mi11 did well overall, most especially night mode, it was outstanding. S21 tried but mi 11 won with night mode. I give it to mi11, even with lower price tag it's outstanding.

I really appreciate all your camera comparisons Han, really. Here is some well meant criticism: What you say and what the pictures show are sometimes different pair of shoes - for example at 16:41 - You say: "Once we move to main sensor nightmode photos, mi11u and the s21u overtake the op9 pro." BUT: The Oneplus actually has the better highlight control, shows more details and better exposure - the s21u is pretty great as well. The following picture at 16:51 is similar, blown out highlights and less detail on the mi11 ultra, while the s21u and the op9 pro have the better shot. Same for the picture at 17:01, where the picture from the mi11 ultra is blurry and therefor has less details. The sharpness on the op9 pro is actually insane tbh. Now you gotta know, I am not a Oneplus Fanboy, I have a mi10 pro at the moment and I am looking forward to the mi11 ultra (and install a gcam mod for some lighting conditions). But you gotta give credit where credit is due. And I noticed that a few times in the x60 pro+ vs mi11 ultra comparison as well. When the x60 pro plus actually processes the better picture (for example at 5:35 and following until 6:00) where you don't mention that the highlight control, overall dynamic range and shadow detail is better on the x60 pro plus. Completely crushed shadow on the mi11u shot for example at 5:55). I gotta say that I am not really impressed by Xiaomis postprocessing. I mean there is a generational leap between the x60pro+ sensor and the mi11u sensor and still they fail to beat it in many occasions. That is the reason why I will continue using a gcam mod even on the mi11 ultra - while xiaomi hopefully fixes the camera software to use all the potential of their top notch hardware. Again, I really like your videos since they show even harsh lighting conditions and you really love what you do. I just wanted to give constructive criticism :-) With best regards from Germany

Great stuff. Really close between the top 2 so I think it boils down to price and personal preference. For those that want a high end flagship in markets where Xiaomi mi11 ultra is a lot cheaper like China and India it makes perfect sense to go for the mi11 ultra over the s21 ultra based on value for money. However, in Europe they are basically around the same price so totally boils down go personal preference rather than price. Personally, think how phones deal with pictures of people is the most important. The s21 ultra is a bit more consistent in this video in that respect. Daytime photos really don't make a huge difference as even good midrangers can do very well. Anyway, both phones are more than I'd be willing to spend but this is extremely useful for those considering a purchase between these flagship phones. The OP9pro doesn't seem like a huge improvement over the OP8pro

The S21 Ultra is more consistent in the day and some portrait shots. The Mi 11 Ultra is better in low light since night actually looks like night (no brighten dark skies). The OnePlus 9 Pro is kinda at the bottom. Sometimes good sometimes bad. A lot of times are very bland for me.

Great comparison. Thanks It would have been nice to see how the Xiaomi would have stood out at 3x like the other phones, instead of 5x in the 3x zoom comparison. I think it uses all 50mp of the main sensor when it's using digital zoom. Also it was doing great at 10x with a 5x lens with 2x digital zoom

One thing to keep in mind with the OnePlus. Updates will make it a lot better. I remember when I got the 8 pro (almost on launch date) I was really disappointed with the camera. Tried it again recently and the camera is really good now. I bet OnePlus will do better in the near future

Excellent comparison!! But I've got a question about the low light & colour part (10:31). Mi11U is doing the best job but I wonder whether it kicks in its 'automatic night mode' algorithm when you take the photos, i.e. it requests you to hold still and wait for few seconds to capture the photos. I know S21U would do this as well but only in a fairly dark situation. I heard of someone saying that Mi11U tends to kick in its 'automatic night mode' once the lighting is not ideal. It could produce pictures with great details and exposure but at the expense of a slow shutter speed. I want to know whether it's true. Thanks!

Sometimes s21 u is better and sometimes mi 11 ultra is better but overall i think mi 11 ultra is more sharper image daytime and night time and white balance is also good. I will buy mi11 ultra because the price cheaper than s21 u and camera also quite good

Using a s21u but my k20 with gcam gives almost identical pictures with similar quality .just the video quality and stabiltion is better.
