Can i connect this to my main router wirelessly? My main router is in my living room and i want to put this in my room without adding long cable. And the LAN port of this router can i use as output to connect to my PC?

@@vigilante9259 no speed control this is a basic router and the firmware cannot be changed, only 2 network names can be created (2.4ghz and 5ghz), the range depends on wireless interference, walls, etc... it's not the same range as a 100$ access point but its way better than 60$ access points from other brands

It's impossible to create guest network. There is no necessary switch in MIWiFi app inside Settings/Wi-Fi settings tab. Everything is up to date so I think this is huge minus..

yes i use it as a wired acces point, it works well and the signal is strong

@@pindiboys4474 yes wired reapter mode of Xiaomi mi 4a router can made one WiFi signal with automatically 2,4GHz and 5GHz and devices can pick. I like it, it works fine in my home

I flash openwrt this mi4a and i use Vless VPN on the passwall to bypass the data for unlimited data,bypass the speed capped ,bypass any fair usage policy.before flash,i got 5-7mbps.after i use vless/v2ray VPN,i got 75mbps.since my area had the worst signal.i use a parabolic antena grid to catch the signal.

No special characters allowed: $, \ (might be problem when working as the repeater) Just 866 Mbit/s on the faster 5GHz Non standard channel 2 was set as „automatic” during trials (not recommended channel)

I bought the router but I am very disappointed from it, I want to connect it wireless to my home WiFi 5GHz but guess what you can’t I wanted to connect it with my 5GHz WiFi network but it’s not possible, I want to connect it to my 5GHz WiFi because its much faster the 2.4ghz sucks I am actually so disappointed from xiaomi.

It must me the same region in your wifi router and your device..or try to off ang on airplane mode to your phone.
