You can use dual sim +sd card you have to do some tweaking but it can be done.

Great phone, I will buy the next generation for sure. But one thing I dislike: it's too too slippery. So you need your flip cover from minute one of use otherwise you may regret it should it fall. I hope next improved one will have amoled screen and photo lenses centered nicely like on the mate 10 pro which is the most beautiful design ever at least in my opinion. Price wise, second to none. You will no longer tolerate prices above. I had a Samsung Note 4, I just wonder how I did to pay it's price for it didn't last 26 months!

@BMB I have the RN 5 which is essentially the same as the Mi Mix 3. I can confirm it does everything 100 % sufficiently, just as what Christiopher said in his review. Realistically 98 % of people would not need any more phone than that. The only things I dislike are the dim, white only notification LED, and its flimsy SIM tray. From what I see it is the same on the Mix 3. Considering that people nowadays replace their mobiles every 12 - 18 months, there may no value in paying for a more premium device. Having said that, for what it does the $ 450 for the Honor 10 to me is not asking too much.

Install the google camera mod on Max 3 and it will produce more detailed low light photos compared to Note 10.

Stereo always is two speakers. That's what stereo means - two channels. Sound is very loud.

Vendor ROMs are patched together custom ROMs to sell devices meant for the Chinese market but with multi-languages and Google Play. They are often full of bugs, OTA updates may not be working, GPS might be more inaccurate and Wifi may not working as fast, and locking into a mobile connection could be slower, all due to it's wrong region setting. Switching to an official ROM will require you to have a certain technical knowledge.

I got my max3 yesterday and holy this thing is freakin huge , When you sit down on a chair or a couch the phone will stick out of your pocket a little bit and it does feel a bit uncomfortable , i prefer to put out of my pocket when i sit down . I have no regrets purchasing it , a massive display is a great thing to have . ;) Have a nice day .

Regarding unlock watch this: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eZrGmneAm9-feJo After unlock boot into fastboot and flash a suitable TWRP image (xiaomi.eu offers one for download) using the command "fastboot flash recovery /path/to/recovery.img". I recommend "Minimal ADB & Fastboot" to run the command.

Make sure you are running an official firmware and not a fake global ROM.

On the Mi Max 3 it's simple. Was the Play Store pre-installed and do you have multiple language options aside from English and Chinese? If yes, you are running a shop ROM since right now there is no official Global ROM for this phone.

Yes it was and all the languages are there, I wonder when the global rom will be released.

I wonder that too. Band 20 LTE and no Global ROM makes no sense. Anyhow, try to get the original China firmware on your phone. From there you can unlock the bootloader and flash the Xiaomi.eu firmware on it. They translate the Chinese firmware into pretty much all languages. Perfect replacement if there is no official Global ROM.
