I've got a question only someone who has fitted one can answer. According to the specs, the distance from the bolt line to the front outer lip of the porcelain should be 450-505mm. Mine is 430mm, but it has plenty of space to move the entire fitting backwards by the 20mm I am short at the front. My bolt line is much more than 20mm within the specs either way. If shifting the unit back 20mm from its ideal position according to the template wasn't possible, what would be the outcome if the outside edge of the front of the bowl was short by 20mm. Would the seat be unsupported at the front? Would there be daylight between the seat inner edge at the front and the outside of the porcelain (might encourage pissing on the floor)? I'm hoping 10mm each out at the front and rear (if I split the difference) wouldn't be catastrophic at either end. Thanks! Oh and who was your Australian supplier?
@Sawickipedia5 жыл бұрын
Hey Bruce, I have just measured mine and the distance from the bolt line to the front outer lip is 440mm. There is just enough overlap that you can't see the porcelain when looking down with the cover up. Bear in mind that you also need room for the bidet nozzle, as it needs to sit just inside the bowl. I believe the most important measurements you will need to have is this: minimum of 335mm from the inner lip at the rear to the inner lip at the front, and minimum of 180mm width measured across the front inner lip of the bowl to the outer edges of the porcelain - this is where the seat supports are. So as long as you can achieve that, the seat *should* fit and be supported at the front, although you may be able to see a hint of the porcelain of the front inner lip. I doubt there will be any yellow tile issues. Yes, it came from Gearbest. But these have not passed Australian standards that I am aware of. But in saying that there's probably millions of things you can buy these days online or in your local $2 shop that haven't passed either. Cheers, Mark

Hi there and thanks for this helpfull installation-video. I have a question concerning the 3-way-filter. I would like to install this toilet seat in Germany. We have different pipe sizes compared to UK. The German water valve, coming out of the wall, is reduced to 3/8 Zoll into the cistern. Which size is the in-/output of the threeway-filter from wall into filter and from filter into cistern? If it's 1/2 Zoll, I will probably need a fitting from 1/2 to 3/8 and reverse into cistern. Regrads and thanks in advance for your reply. Bye JZ

where do you think will be the ideal position of power point near toilet?
@Sawickipedia5 жыл бұрын
It's a tricky one, just keep in mind that the power cable is only about 1m long. And in Australia at least, there are regulations around how close a powerpoint can be to a sink or water receptacle. You should consult your electrician if you will need a power point installed

Hello, I've got a question about the voltage. As I know, this xiaowei seat has a voltage of 220 V, can this work in US with 110 V?
@Sawickipedia4 жыл бұрын
I doubt it, and the power supply is built into the plug so there is no way to replace it. You would need a step down transformer, probably not the kind of thing you would want next to the toilet 😄
