The Mi Pad is an excellent device for those that want a tablet for media consumption and browsing. I had the Mi Pad 2 so I am aware. bro what you're saying is legit but this tablet just isn't oriented for that audience. You get tiny HDDs and SSDs now with like 5x the read and write speeds of an SD card.. 128 GB Type C pendrive is only 100rs more expensive than a 128GB SD card.. And will have much much more speed... SD cards also are less stable and die much faster than pen drives.... Cellular network is kinda pointless when you can get hotspot from your phone. Are you seriously gonna call people with such a huge tablet on your ears? lol Why do you need 2 phones for 2 sims? Most flagship androids have dual sim... Only thing I agree with is earphone jack. But TWS these days don't have latency issues too.

While from a perspective of overall ecosystem the ipad is better. I went with a xiaomi pad Even though im deep in the apple ecosystem because there are somethings that are just possible only on an android tablet. What do I mean by this? here are the things that I use the xiaomi pad for. 1. Reading books and manga. the experience in this use case is much better on android than on ios since sideloading apps is needed for a lot of manga apps. I use tachiyomi which is a open source manga reader. 2. Downloading torrents. Pretty self explanatory, ipad os doesn't allow this. While I have every subscription pretty much, some content just isnt accessible or available on any platform that im ready to legally pay for. 3. Emulation. I use the game boy, playstation & game cube emulators to play games on the xiaomi pad which I cant do on the ipad which makes the gaming potential on the xiaomi pad that much greater. Emulation is the way to go when it comes to mobile gaming. You have very few good mobile only titles. Emulations opens the door for a great mobile gaming experience 4. Media and content consumption - What you majorly need when it comes to media consumption is a great screen and speakers. Which compared to say a ipad 9 is miles better on the xiaomi pad. You have to go with the ipad air or pro's to match the experience and that comes at 2 to 3 times the cost. While I'd like to pretend that I'll use the ipad as an extra screen with side car and use all the pro work flows. Im not really doing that and at 30k, the xiaomi pad is just the better media consumption device compared to say the ipad 9 with its non laminated display, 64gb storage & passable speakers.

There were a few times that the tablet did an awkward thing where it would detect pen on at all times and wouldn't register finger press, but it is usually fixed by closing and opening either the screen or app. This is highly likely due to my excessive use for drawing which caused this and wasn't really very big. As I mostly enjoy using the tablet for drawing (and some light gaming), I would comment from that aspect that there is definitely more accurate pressure and drawing using a PC device and drawing tablet, however i find the moveablity of the tablet more enjoyable to draw on. Like how you can physically rotate and move a piece of paper around or even draw casually on your bed.All in all, as a tablet it is good, and as a drawing device can be good depending on what you want from a drawing device. It is definitely good enough if you just want to use it to take notes. For typing though I can't comment on the keyboard as I did not get the keyboard.

Hi! I'm not so techo savvy but know what my needs are. I'd appreciate very much if you can respond to my following queries. 1. Do Xiomi pad 5 and 6 allow WhatsApp video calls. I was given to understand that you need a sim card. WhatsApp video call with my grandchildren isn't a very comfortable experience on the smartphone as I find it difficult to hold the phone in my hand for longer periods. 2. Another issue with my smartphone with reading is that the font isn't comfortable for my eyes. I'm 70, and want a better reading experience than a smartphone. 3. Does Xiomi pad 5 also have a stylus so I needn't use my fingertips for typing? 4. Can I blog, browse and use Microsoft tools on these 2 models? 5. My 11 yr old granddaughter told me that a tablet is just like a smartphone but with a bigger screen, is that so? 6. Does Xiomi pad 5 have a keyboard that can be attached like the Xiomi pad 6? 7.
