I just got mine today. I actually came to the channel hoping the app was addressed. I downloaded it via the QR code, but I picked United Kingdom, because USA wasn't on the list, and I thought the region would make the app be in that language. I am glad to see English even if you put it to Mainland China. Thanks for the review.

Yes, all Chinese versions of Xiaomi products will only connect to the app if the China region is selected.

@@shalkekv they are original thou they are Chinese versions, the global version is not released at writing this . Miui pop works with redmi note 12 and connects easily.

There is a big flaw in the design: the right side's touch is not working most of the time. Also the android app Xiaomi Earbuds sees the case and earphones, but controls doesn't work most of the time. Sometimes it starts working and sometimes the right side's touch is working but as soon as I get it off from my ear, it stops working. The sound quality is very good for the price and the 10 hours of battery life is valid.

Thanks! Just bought it, but on iOS only volume, ANC and transparency gestures work. Also in-ear detection on my iPhone does not work. Have you tested it and prev/next, play/pause gestures on iPhone?

Try installing the Xiaomi Earbuds app and checking the gestures. You may not have the play/pause gestures added. You also need to enable In-Ear detection in the app. You can watch it here at 05:18

If you like the Redmi Buds 4 Active, then I guess there's no point. However, Redmi Buds 5 has a number of advantages. ANC is one of the main ones.

I'm looking for an earbud with high quality anc, I experienced the anc of redmi buds 3 pro, its great but lacking in ways when it's really noisy outside, its only 35db of anc, while I still haven't brought redmi buds 4 pro, which one would you recommend more, redmi buds 5 or redmi buds 4 pro in terms of noise cancelling which one is better? Can you also recommend other earbuds from other brands which has some kf the best anc for you?

Redmi Buds 5 supports 46dB ANC. So, you can measure the noise level of the motor, and it is less than 46dB, then you won't hear it with the earbuds. If the noise of the motor is higher than 46dB, then you still hear the noise, but it will be quieter than without earbuds at all.

These are super headphones. Also fresh, with 46dB noise reduction, and LDAC which is not present on Redmi, but they have a cooler design, the same autonomy, and less latency in games. And they cost about the same, and if more expensive, it’s $1-2. I recently bought Redmi buds 5, also in white (at that time I also didn’t know about honor), I was choosing between Oneplus buds ace 2, Realme buds t 300, among them I decided that Redmi is the best. I'm happy with the headphones. But two days later I found out that my friend ordered herself. Honor choice x5 s pro in silver. And then I thought damn they are very cool, even better than Redmi. They came, I listened to the sound, and it is amazing, especially with LDAC, and its sound seemed to me a little better than that of Redmi, and the design is more beautiful.

i got realme buds air 5 but i lost it . used it for 4 months. it's one of the best earbuds i got. 50db anc, the battery on earbuds lasts at around 5 hrs (approximately, since i actually haven't use it til it got battery low) sound is ok, it's balanced. bass is good but not the best. for price atleast in my country, redmi buds 5 is cheaper. the features on app is almost similar to this video except realme buds 5 doesn't have single tap customized config, then it searches your phone instead of the earbuds. so basically. like what happened to me, i wasn't able to locate it since it doesn't have that feature.

I don't think you need to worry about sweat or even rain.However, I wouldn't recommend showering or swimming in the pool with these earbuds.

I couldn't find any information on water protection. We've been testing the Chinese version, and the global one hasn't been released yet. Unfortunately, I haven't tested Realme earbuds, so I cannot say which ones are better.
