I was watching Yanxi Palace, the main lead Yinglou remains true to character and has everyone else dancing to her tune. Manipulating her way out of trouble just as quickly as she gets in there are a few other dramas

Li Hong Yi is so unlucky with all of his dramas... so handsome, so cool, a great actor but all his dramas have issues... except with Zhao Lu Si... he got 2 of them when they were the best couple during those days.

Why!!???? Why did they pair Li Hong Yi with Jackie Li? He nails his drama. He is gorgeous, and they mix and match him every time. I agree with Karen. Zhao Lu Si was the best pairing ever. It's not just the drama we watch. We watch the press events, the behind-the-scenes. I have no desire to wish these two were together or have any romantic involvement. The CP is part of the fun. I can't even begin in my brain to ship these two. If they wanted something different, they could have paired him with someone who looked more his age when the camera was running. She loves at least in her early 30s, and he seems in his early 20s. I just can't fathom why they did this.

@@AranyaAltair I rarely watch Chinese drama nowadays unless it has really good quality story and great actors. I can tell you this, her acting is the highlight of this drama from the start to the end. If it was anybody else the drama would be 80% trash, the other 20% watchable was thanks to the male lead's acting(sad he was made to act like a cold static guy, saw from BTS he was mainly following directions from the director😓) or else the story was a complete cliche. Basically if she wasn't there even the male lead couldn't save this drama. It was very unfortunate that due to the props and clothes they used without thinking causing the drama to be cancelled but none of it was the actors or actresses faults.
