I'm a fan of the Radiodity fan/stand also. I dipped the front two folding feet in "Plasti-Dip" liquid rubber so that they now won't scratch the table. Worked well with 3 coats...

I like the H1 stand but performed some mods on mine in order to make it work better with my portable setup: * I added a fan guard (as everyone probably should) use four nylon wire ties to secure it and save a tiny bit of weight. * I added a front-accessible on/off pushbutton switch for the fan * Probably the most significant mod was removing all of the power connectors and cables and replacing them with a pair of Anderson power pole pigtails routed out of the rear of the stand. (I modified my G90 power input in the same fashion so that everything connects at the back and is more flexible and reliable.) * I utilized some flexible rubber covers used for F and SO-238 connectors and slipped those over the ends of the feet for secure non-slip non-scratch covers. The rear of the H1 stand also has a set of nicely placed holes that one can utilize for securing or for hinges or both as I did. - hinge plate secured with Velcro in my carrying case to allow the rig to lever up and stand but then fold and stay put inside the case when it's closed. 73 de N2NLQ

NOTE: The fan unit comes on slowly at ambient temperature. If you do not want this to happen, place a 2.7K to 3.2K resistor in series with the black wire from the temperature sensor - where it connects to the main circuit board. The resistor value is variable - depending on your rooms ambient temperature. 3.0K worked at 68F. Anything above this temp will start the fan.

I was an early adopter of the g90 and it's a good little radio. The early adopters with the fan unit did not receive a bottom cover. It's wide open and the fan is uncovered you can stick your fingers in it. The chassis was punched for screws to hold the bottom cover on. I'm glad one is available now but are there any available for early adopters that did not get a bottom cover?

A guard on the fan would keep me from putting my thumb under the fan when picking it up.

They fixed this with a nice vented bottom plate. Just got mine yesterday. One thing I do not like about this accessory is the fan never shuts off as long as power is applied. Even with the radio off! I see a switch in the near future. Other wise, it is a cool accessory...

Its a 92mm x 92mm fan and I agree a cover would have been good they can be easily found and are decently cheep.

I am at present trying to connect the G90 with the XPA125, with no success. Someone responded to my queries on the G90 Facebook page saying that Xiegu told them that one can't connect the G90 to the XPA125, it won't work, only the XPA125A, the newer model.. Have you connected the G90 to the original XPA125? Appreciate kn owing this. Brent VA&HUM

I'm having the same problem. I have a XPA 125A..original. The current CE-19 adapter does not allow you to turn off the ALC line. I believe the ALC line is killing all power output from the radio. I'm going to slice the ALC trace on the CE-19 circuit board to kill the ALC voltage and see what happens. It keys ups... just no power. If it works, then I'll just watch my drive power.

Hi my G90 and the H1 stand is expected soon. Is it true that if the radio is moved with the power from the stand on the OS get corrupted and the radio stops ;working. Can you confirm this. thanks de vu3mes

Temperature controlled fan my butt, it runs constantly even with the radio off and is over priced trash. I got rid of this stand, switched to a simple stand, run mostly digital and never had a heat problem. The cooling stand is an over priced solution looking for a problem.
@Yavor542 жыл бұрын
Ahh, just replace the resistor on the board with a 10K and it only comes on when necessary.
