10:30 From Biot-Savart law, we can derive the expression for magnetic field for an infinitely long straight wire. But if we evaluate the expression for magnetic field through Ampere's law for any length of a straight conductor, we get the same expression as if it is an infinitely long straight wire. Because in Ampere's law, we evaluate the line integral of the amperian loop and it is the current passing through the loop that matters rather than the length of the conductor. Could you please elaborate, sir ?
@imme4071
@imme4071 6 жыл бұрын
Any length of conductor cannot exist on its own, the current in it could not disappear into air . It will always be a part of a circuit. While applying ampere's circuital law, the magnetic field due to all these conductors should be taken. So ampere's circuital law even though applicable in this case cannot be used since we do not have an idea about the complete circuit.

Sir varing electric field to magnetic field banata hai par apane suru me kaha ki ham DC current bhi le sakte hai to isme magnetic field kaise banega
@siddharthmishra3669
@siddharthmishra3669 4 жыл бұрын
Yes, but you cannot use this field to induce current in any other conductor. Only a varying magnetic field can do that (to generate that you need varying current). You can use this unidirectional field in a way similar to how you can use permanent magnets. For example - closing and opening electromechanical relays.
@siddharthmishra3669

A DC current in one coil will make a magnetic field on the other coil, but a magnetic field by itself won't drive any electrons around. A CHANGING magnetic field, however, does create an electric force which will accelerate those electrons in the other coil into carrying a current

Sir but what will happen if we use dc current inserted of ac current because dc is not able to change electric filed . Then pls clear me that there will be displacement current or not in case when we use dc current
@gautamsah9465
@gautamsah9465 6 жыл бұрын
Initially charge is zero so their is no electric field and hence no magnetic field But while applying dc voltage immediately charge is store is capacitor and hence electric field will set up due to this magnetic field will set up As a result conduction current will flow in the conductor

Sir, kindly clarify a doubt of mine - Is dispacement current formed by both DC and AC? I am asking this as in DC too, charge slowly piles up and so, E gradually increases. So, is it true???
@mrnosense9176
@mrnosense9176 7 жыл бұрын
No bro displacement current is due to varying electric field which is due to changing electric current which only ac can do
@vprakash2471
@vprakash2471 5 жыл бұрын
Displacement current is caused by both AC and DC. For proof consider at time=0 let DC current flow in capacitor then charge accumulates we know E=charge density/epsilon. But charge density is dependent on charge. Hence charge increases then charge density increases then E fluctuates and hence magnetic field is produced and hence displacement current is also there.
