It's been so many years since dy medley has visited our town, Diphu, for a bihu function. And I remember listening to them performing this song at 3 am in the morning as I was going to sleep while my father was holding me on his shoulders and dancing. It's definitely a cure memory. So many memories are associated with this song. I mean I still miss those old days during Annual Function, we would sit to watch our school senior girls perform in this song. All I used to do was watch and wonder " wow how are they so so beautiful" I was probably in 3rd std( Year 2011) Man how time flies. I had such a wonderful family. My Grandparents were here with me. I would come back from school and tell them about all the performances that took place in school. Today, I'm 21. Have grown up. Idk, where those beautiful senior girls from school are now. My grandparents are no more. So many things have changed. I, today, know something called as "Responsibilities". Crazy, how songs can take us to a whole different time zone.

Greetings from Guwahati friends😃... This song is originally based on the song 'Xile Xile Theka Khale' from the movie "Aranya"( Forest) , 1971. In the song , a forest Ranger stops suddenly to follow a beautiful enchanting song sung by a maiden, who is there to have a bath besides the flowing river. She sings and romanticizes about how gracefully the river water flows around the rocks, the waterfalls and how the sun rays paint her face with a tint of red... Basically everything that surrounds her, the beauty and bliss of her village and the environment.😊🌿 .The ranger gets caught by her, and he receives some scolding😅. This present version is a fusion, the lady on the left(wearing a traditional Tiwa attire the Riha) is singing in Tiwa( a indigenous language of Assam), a Tiwa folk song, and the lady on the right is singing the original lyrics in Assamese. It's my interpretation, so I might be wrong in some cases, but basically that's what this beautiful song is all about. 😊
