They way the smoothing is applied to your aiming inputs is different. Classic uses a much less complex way whereas the Standard one is much more advanced. In short Standard feels closer to a PC experience at the cost of having less AA while Classic is the other way round.

Hey Daimz! Yes exactly, Classic Sync 0 = Off from XIM Apex. For Smoothing like from XIM Apex set the Decay to 9 and then use whatever Smoothing you have used with XIM Apex.

Unlikely. The deadzone is meaningless since the Smart Trainer that creates the STs will remove it for the outcome anyway. Every ST runs on 0 deadzone because of that.

@@XIMCentral i noticed if i swipe my mouse very slowly that there is no movement because its translated to a very small stick movement that is probably inside of the deadzone this is not the case if deadzone in game is 0. another interesting thing is that you get the same effect as oribtal aim assist by just putting the deadzone at 0 because there is a continious micro movement

@@olivierpince2504 Hey, if you experience that then something is either wrong with your ingame settings (they dont match the ones from the XIM website) or you use SAB or other XIM config settings that cause this. To test the latter, create a brand new game config with no changes done to it. Then test it again. If its gone then its your original config, if its still present then your ingame settings are the reason for why this happens.

I love the new classic mode, but I got now some minor micro stutters while moving the mouse I have 4000 dpi - classic 0 0 8 I find that the best. Senses are 4,5 for hip fire and 9.9 for ads what can I change to get rid of the stutters never had that before using classic

You can add some Smoothing by setting the Decay to 9 and Smoothing to 3-4. Some stutter is to be expected with Classic, this is how XIM Apex used to work. But with Smoothing you can reduce this.

Update I tested multiple dpi's never got rid of the stutter, then I thought about your other video and thought that It had to be my mouse but no unplugging the xim aqnd the mouse is smooth again.. so its not that! I thought its the classic mode that makes the stutter but now I tested linear and classic with light smoothing and still the stutter occurs without the classic mode, so it has to be something about the xim that causes this, any ideas?@@XIMCentral

Hey, almost all console games process inputs at 125Hz. So using a higher polling rate doesnt add that much benefit. If you want the closest console experience then yes going 125Hz = Standard Polling Rate in the Matrix settings is the way to go! :)

I asked different top 500 (overwatch) on xim apex for new suggestions or tips to set the Matrix with the new beta but most of them said that they still feel differences from xim apex For example one used all values at 0 and default with no curve, 12k dpi and 3.68 as sens but if he tries 0 0 8 with the new Matrix’s beta he feels worse Is that normal or it should feel the exact same? Is there a method to have the exactly same values on Matrix for the xim apex players? I’ll try to ask on the forum too

Five top10 OW2 players have alpha tested this and they all said it feels exactly the same. Matrix uses the very same algorithm as Apex in this mode, so they are literally the same. What these players experience is either a placebo, or they have a setting somewhere that is only active on one of the two XIMs which causes the difference.

@@vexgolem7060 I should add that all top10 alpha testers said Matrix is even better in XIM Apex mode due to having less negative AA interactions because of the better hardware processing (its actually quite noticeable). See the demonstration clip at the end of the video when two enemies overlap but the crosshair isnt pulled away by the other target. With XIM Apex thats pretty much impossible.

Yes thats possible. Create a smart action with "press" activation and add two RT100% bindings together with RT0% bindings to release the trigger again. Then add wait actions in-between those to customize the time those are pressed and released.

A couple weeks ago I would have been really excited about this because I was an apex diehard. I'm liking the way matrix does smoothing better than the apex did and the way you can adjust it in theory between syncs is an added bonus. The new smart action bindings are a huge step forward as well as the vertical Y axis sens change upon firing. I was having to use ADS at 1.3x for the time being whereas now I can get get that multiplier when I shoot. 👍 finally

@@JimTimTha4th I didn’t look at user guide etc so I’m not 100% sure on what each part of the classic smoothing does to your aim. But I just run 50.0.50 for classic. Feels as smooth as controller. I can make small adjustments to my aim without seeing any jitter really. If you prefer standard, I use Custom 50.80.20 for a similar effect.

You mean a XIM in general? Since MnK is different to a controller you have a lot less AA than a controller player, but its still quite a bit. Aiming feels like on the PC with the exception of console limitations such as maximum turnspeeds that you cannot exceed.

With this firmware its the opposite. You can now have exactly the same aiming experience as Apex but with the option to also use in-between values that Apex cannot achieve. Such as a mix out of sync off and default.

Question. Are all the other XIM matrix luxuries still attainable while on Xim Apex mode (classic mode)? For example smart actions and what not . Even on this mode should I still use high DPI (we are told to do this with matrix, but this is still matrix after all) so do we have all the luxuries of XIM matrix , on this “XIM apex mode”. Secondly , I need a smaller orbital aim assist. The one in your overwatch video is very wobbly and big for other games, I need one that moves way less otherwise I will be forced to buy from rush probably. Yes you can use all Matrix features while in this XIM Apex mode! :) For the obital just lower the magnitude in the smart action. Back then it was the lowest possible one, but nowadays you can lower it even more so its not visible anymore. Go with 0,1 deg/s for example. Check if your game supports that though as this value might be too low to activate the AA.

I got both and Matrix beats Apex by a lot when using the new beta. Its not even close. Apex has significantly weaker AA interactions than Matrix when used with the new classic smoothing.

When you are in your ADS config, at the bottom you have a slider where you can select how much of your HIP config should be inherited into your ADS config. By default its setup to the same inherit as XIM Apex uses.

There is no conversion sheet, the only way is to measure your cm/360° on the mousepad with your XIM Apex and use that value as your XIM Matrix sensitivity then.

@@Qeyitdz With OW2 it doesnt work because OW2 uses the same aim mechanic for both HIP and ADS. This only works with games where both mechanics are different (like 95% of all games do it this way, but OW2 doesnt).
