Subs have been watered down by pubbie tears so much they are now useless and too easy to kill. the only reasonable sub left to play in the game is 4501 because it has the underwater speed to *just dodge the MASSES of incoming fire once detected.

It was actually a project designed by Germans and sold to the Soviets to build. This was how post-WWI Germany continued to research and modernize their submarines between the wars. My thoughts are that WG made this with all the bells 'n whistles in order to let 'new' sub players to learn how to use everything. Unfortunately WG made this thing OP compared to the other tier VI submarines.

Sub gameplay is only boring when your team knows what they're doing. When a DD tries to kill himself on you, but your team is too dumb to shoot it, that gets exciting. Big Fan! (Not really of subs 😂) Edit: 12k damage to get 2nd on the team is absurd lol

Honestly with subs like this that have the fantastic standard torps, I just play them like really sneaky torp DDs with a crawling smoke. The homing torps on this thing are kinda shit due to the low damage.

I think the reason I didn't use sub surveillance was because, I didn't have anyone in ASW range to fight their submarine with that spotting, and also I wanted to avoid letting the enemy submarine know that I am able to spot him, so he would be able to spot me, London I believe has Air Based ASW maybe, so he would have the flank advantage on me. But i'm not too great at submarines, so not certain if my thought process their was good or not.
