Because Uyghurs are well protected by the government. They get lots of wealth transfer from other provinces, and the government builds and upgrades the houses for them so they get the residence for free. The province recently has discovered oil fields which contributes to personal GDP. Uyghurs typically live an easier and less stressful time than the Hans in Xinjiang. None of the restrictive policies like one child policy affects them, and they are on the receiving end of numerous benefits such as bonus marks for the entrance exam. This is because Xi and the CPC did not think ahead by introducing the New Silk Road (BRI) to the whole world, and US sees this as China is flexing its muscle and influence, thus challenging the US and the west's dominance. Xinjiang is literally the gateway to the west, the start of the Silk Road, if they can mess up this region, it means the gateway is locked. China should have done its BRI secretly, just build the infrastructure to facilitate the new silk road and shut the mouth up and all these shenanigans would not have happened.

Torture and other ill-treatment is systematic in the camps and every aspect of daily life is regimented in an effort to forcibly instil a secular, homogeneous Chinese nation and Communist party ideals. “The Chinese authorities have created a dystopian hellscape on a staggering scale in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region,” said Agnès Callamard, Amnesty International’s Secretary General.

It is totally different from the story told by Western countries. The Uyghur are very happy in China.
Americans preach their values all over the world, India follows and China takes a different path. In my opinion, India's slow development is precisely a problem of the system. By the time Indians present themselves as the world's largest democracy and criticize China, China's bullet train has exceeded tens of thousands of kilometers. Infrastructure is being upgraded in almost every city in China. China can build a hospital in a week. China has lifted 1.4 billion people out of poverty. Are the 56 ethnic groups in China equal? As a Han Chinese, I disagree. Ethnic minorities have many more privileges than Han Chinese. For example, in the past, family planning was only targeted at the Han ethnic group, and ethnic minorities could have as many children as they wanted. There are also bonus points for ethnic minorities in the college entrance examination. More financially, the government supports ethnic minority areas with a large amount of taxes collected from affluent Han areas. Ethnic minorities still enjoy privileges in many areas such as land, tax exemptions, and employment. This is probably Chinese characteristics. In other countries' election systems, in order to obtain the majority of votes, they will definitely give up on ethnic minorities.

It can be mentioned again that the role of Kashgar in China's communication with India was unique. In fact, a connecting point for travelers to the plains on the inaccessible mountain passes of Central Asia. Dr. According to Prabodh Chandra Bagchi, the temples of Kashgarh were paradises for Buddhist pilgrims. Because the hospitality of the Bihars at the end of the journey through the hilly route brings pure peace to the travelers. Finally, it should be noted that Kashgar had a strong Buddhist influence from the second to the eighth century. Due to which the Indian language and script were also dominant. A number of Buddhist statues and other artifacts have also been discovered in Kashgarh.

Few fun facts.. Many/most of the younger Uyghurs can speak Mandarin. Many go to other provinces to work where they can earn more and have a career. As for cameras, there are also many in all the cities in China. Just like in other cities such as London and Singapore. There hasn't been a single terrorist act in Xinjiang since 2016. There are many Uyghurs enrolled in the Chinese Military. Some even in the navy despite never having seen the sea before. The now-retired driver of the Liaoning (china's first carrier) was a female Uyghur. Some of the most popular movie and TV stars in China are Uyghurs. Females do not wear hijab / burquas cause that's not central Asian culture or even compulsory in Islam. It's Arab/middle eastern. Xinjiang grows some of the best fruits in the world. The number of Police officers is not excessive for such a busy place. And many of the officers are actually Uyghurs themselves.

I‘ve been to Kashgar several years ago, but still this video provides me lots of new and interesting information and perspectives about this place. I never thought of the popular Indian films and music in Xinjiang, which I think can be reduced to the cultural and linguistic similarity between Uyghurs and Indians. You can clearly see how Uyghur dance is similar to Indian dance, the music, the movement, the costumes...
China is quite developed..... proud neighbourhood #hinduchinivaivai

Some Catholics and Hindus in the world are more concerned about the fate of Muslims in Xinjiang than Muslims in the Middle East. The CIA and the BBC deserve a lot of credit.

Many hindus are dying of poverty unemployment and inequality in world's largest populated country.. But still they are very much concern about muslim people of other country simple because they don't love own people first 😂😂

I disagree, Hindus are happy that china is treating its minority very well. kashgar has developed into a modern world class city in a short span of time.uyghurs are happy and progressing well.its only the propagandists spreading canards against china
