@@Xed09 basically, kaeya was left near the winery by his father as a spy from khaenriah. crepus (diluc's father) found him and adopted him, making diluc and kaeya brothers. years later, when diluc turned 18. an overpowered monster attacked him and his father. diluc, even as one of the strongest knights was not able to defeat it. crepus used a delusion to defeat the monster, but the power of the delusion backfired and leaving him very injured. the knights, with kaeya arrived seconds too late and crepus died in diluc's arms. diluc then quit the knights because of the previous grandmaster who said to keep what had happened a secret and didnt respect what crepus had done. after diluc left the knights, he also left his vision. kaeya decided to tell him the truth of who he really was and where he came from. diluc who already was broken from his father's death and quitting the knights snapped at him and they dueled swords. kaeya received his cryo visiom during the battle. so basically, diluc lost his father, faith in the knights and lost trust in his own brother on the day of his birthday

How to say this... Diluc is the main cause here bc he feels being betrayed. Kaeya had an abandonment trauma, being left by his father and later lost his foster father. As if Kaeya himself didn't care for his fail, I bet he cared. Yup, he showed his stress by shutting himself and coldness, while Diluc expected sincere grief, but come on. Later, when Kaeya told the truth, Diluc abandoned this guy as well. Even now, Kaeya keeps teasing Diluc solely to communicate, bc Diluc refuses otherwise, while Diluc barely says Kaeya's name. So that's quite a case. I really hope Diluc will melt back towards Kaeya at some point, and they will fight back to back as before, bc come on, together they can conquer the whole Teywat. And it will be the most wholesome thing, ig, that will make me heavenly happy. And the fact that they don't uncover each others' secrets, make me hope on.
