I’m sad that X had to make a video about this at all. Everyone who watches Hermitcraft and stays updated with the fandom also hears about this stuff - but I hoped against all odds that the hermits themselves ignore it or don’t even hear about it. I’m embarrassed on behalf of the fans that Xisuma even had to say anything about it; the same way I felt when Grian had to comment on demise last season or when anyone is just stupid online about content creators.

Why should people be mad? It is not like they are the one that is affected by the vote. besides affected or not the only thing that doesnt change is that the fun they have. It doesnt matter who holds the money, who snipes the button etc etc, the most important thing is the fun and games they have, they are good friends and i even see them have fun irl. Quite a few people on Scar’s stream last week said they had unsubscribed from his KZbin channel because they were disappointed that he didn’t have a mega base, and you could see disappointment in his face when the voice speaker read out the messages Scar does build small, but his builds are still mega as the amount of work he puts into the smallest of things (paths, houses, the trees) is unbelievable and I personally think his base is the best one so far

You can tell by the tone of X's voice, that he is legitimately sad over this. It really makes me feel sad that people, like False for example, are being harassed. I remember that multiple times in Season 6, Grian had to explain during time lapses to not go after other hermits and to be kind. It truly breaks my heart that this is the, "Next problem" -Joe Hills, HermitCraft sees. Edit: Let's learn from Keralis and Stress and just love each other, call each beautiful, and just be generally like Stress and Keralis. I feel really bad for False. She doesn't deserve this because she makes great content and I wish people could take a joke. What people don't realize is that unsubscribing doesn't just lower the sub counter. It hurts the channel and can hurt the youtuber as well. Remember this is their job. A salesman makes money off of sales in the form of commissions. For a youtuber/streamer sub count and watch time is that "sale" and their ad revenue is the "commission". For the smaller hemits, unsubing could hurt them financially. I hope not but for most of them this is their full time job and don't earn much else where. I hope all the hermits see this and address this because this needed to stop before this video was even recorded.

False is my favourite Hermit and seeing people harass her is just... It's heartbreaking. She puts in so much good work into her builds, she is always up for a laugh or a prank. As soon as the idea of a mayor got floated around, I thought "False was mayor of Falsewell and that was brilliant, she'd make a great mayor of the Cowmerical district". But it doesn't matter if she wins. We all win because of the great content that comes out of this mayoral race. Posters that beautify the district, interviews with all the hermits in the herald... These are friends working together and having fun together, and great content comes from that. Lets drown out the hate with love.

Grian told us many times that he wants to make quality videos and he grinds off camera a lot. I even watched his old S6 livestream. He is too nice. He went mining for diamonds and quit because he didn't want to disappoint the chat and tried to do different things. I don't mind watching Grian collect sand. But if he's not comfortable I'll respect his decision. For example Tango doesn't do resource gathering on stream, he mainly does building and redstone. With X it can be anything but I still watch it because I work on my computer and just listen to him as a podcast. Rendog has great streams. First time watched Jevin streaming, changed a lot of my opinion on him. Great guy. Hypno is a funny dude 😂 He seems a lil bit rude but that's what he is: he answers straight, he doesn't like stupid questions and he uses a lot of sarcasm. Xb is like the nicest person. False does a lot of building and mining on the livestream. Iskall doesn't stream a lot but it's fun always. I love watching him while I eat something. Scar's streams are very cute, he's a very sweet person.

This is probably going to get buried but anyways: Hermitcraft at its core is about friendship. It's about the comradery that you see between a group of friends and how they interact with one another within a Minecraft server. Every interaction between the hermits is friendly and lighthearted in nature, and that includes competitions like Demise, Head Games and the Mayoral Campaigns, as well as the banter and occasional pvp between them. The pranks, roleplay and the competition show this in an especially bright light. It's entertaining for both the viewer and the hermits, it's incredibly wholesome and it forges strong bonds between people. They do these things because it's fun for them. It gives them reason to play together and have this comradery. So remember that everyone on the server is friends with one another. Mumbo, False and all the other mayor candidates are friends with one another. All the hermits in general are friends. With even a basic understanding of friendship you would know that friends don't like to watch each other go through negative experiences and getting harassed, and I know as well as you that none of them want this. None of the hermits want any of the others to experience the hostility over something so stupid as a silly competition between friends when all they want is good vibes, good times, shenanigans and comradery. The toxic comments were (and are) incredibly dumb. Not only do the other hermits really *not* want this to happen to their friends, it also reflects poorly on them as content creators and the community surrounding Hermitcraft. By behaving this way and saying these things you suck a lot of the enjoyment out of it not only for viewers, but especially for the creators themselves. It's really sad to see that it even had to be addressed in the first place.

Listening to this makes me think about a young cousin I have. He's 9 years old and ADHD. He looooves watching minecraft content, and he's totally the type that would do this. He's very egocentric, with a self-centered view of the world, and empathy just isn't a thing he gets yet. He's still stuck in this stage of development where people aren't really people to him. Everyone goes through this stage when they're young, and of course, some take longer than others to grow out of it. Some of what's happening to False sounds just like this; like when elementary kids have a fight, and instantly say "You're not my friend anymore!" because they don't know how to deal with someone not working to their self-centered internal script, and anger is a default response to "You're not doing it right!"
