considering that some aftermarket fender flares are like $400, this is an awesome idea. Thumbs up.

You sir are a friggin' genius! Looks like it works great! Since I cannot find anything under 3" PA legal limit in the way of flares, THIS might just be a life saver!
@johnbearjunkyard7 жыл бұрын
There's a company called pacer that makes something called flexy flares. They're universal flares that you cut to whatever length that you want. They have a little edge that covers up the interface between the fender and flare. Something to look into if you're interested. They look similar to the lawn edging, but probably pricier. I paid about $125 for a 4.25 inch set. It enough for 1 rig and some left over.

Genius! Totally doing this tomorrow.

Use bailing wire underneath.... screw in one side run along the underside of the flair at the edge it will keep the streight form. ☺

Great job man! so what if they don't look perfect... if an XJ is used properly, then the whole thing is going to have "imperfections". good thinking outside the box! I saw this link on your FB post! Cheers from Tucson, AZ!

This is cool dude I was thinking about doing this cause I don’t wanna spend 500 bucks on nice ones that I’m gonna rip off ima tree when I’m bouncing in the woods Haha
@Wooskii17 жыл бұрын
where/how did you rivet the rear fenders? I ask because I think my rear fenders might be too hacked away and where you riveted your rears might work for me... My XJ is not near me to look at (45+ min drive) So just wondering how you did it. Great idea, looks awesome and I need flares in the next few days. Appreciate any help, thanks
