@Terry Martin The little metal thing is called the "stabilizer bar." You will find them inside mechanical qwerty keyboards under the space bar, backspace, shift, return, or any longer key.

I have a white key with the same problem, but the mechanism is different. Does anyone have anything from CME that shows how to fix/reattach those? I've contacted the company via their website, but haven't gotten any response. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

@@MuluBeats No, I was never able to get the key reseated properly. If I recall, the company eventually got back to me, but that was no help with self repair. They gave me estimates on shipping and repair costs, which were about the same as replacing the keyboard.

Thanks... FYI the exacto-knife is not the best option for this. At least for reseating the butterfly attachment. Use paperclip or something more blunt on those plastic parts.

The MPK sure has its uses, but this thing has it beat not only as a keyboard but as a drumpad too. (The hero-guy from the video explains exactly why that is - the keys aren't levers like regular keys but butterfly clip-supported velocity pad-caps which act as drum pads or regular-keyboard lever-keys depending on where you hit them.)

Sorry, I’ve never had to do those. However, I know they’re pretty similar. You’ll need to pull the white keys off starting at the top of the key first, then pry off the bottom. Once you’ve got it off, you should see the similarity with the black keys.
