Right After I watched this I opened pokemon go and battled team rocket they had shadow vulpix I was pretty happy cus my friends were saying it's rare and I caught it the ivs were 5/14/14💀my luck has been insane since I also just got 7/15/14 shadow beldum and 8/12/15 shadow onix and a shiny shadow beldum IVs weren't that good but still shiny :D

Great battles! I do wanna suggest something though.. Shadow Sneak is a very poor move overall, Ancient Power covers some weaknesses, and virtually nobody I face shields a Shadow Force, it can flip so many mid games. You definitely do need that raw damage for things like Registeel, Cobalion, even Cress. You did have Cofagrigus in this team so maybe it's a bit unnecessary, but it still can definitely come clutch in a lot of situations.

I only run D-Claw on my giratina, and the charge move I wish I'd had the most is definitly ancientpower, with shadow force in second. You're spot on.

I definitely considered Shadow Force on my Tina but it was an Elite TM and not sure I wanted to spend it, but it definitely would have been good during these games to have it in hindsight.

@@XehrFelrose Well worth the investment for me, even in its current state, Giratina definitely has the bulk to consistently get to it in time. And who knows? They just might give it a very minimal buff with the next season, it's still a Signature move after all. Not substantial enough to make it ridiculously overpowered, but just enough to make it more viable. Maybe a small decrease in energy requirement, down to 75-80. Literally no other move in the game requires 90 Energy aside from Frustration.

Hey HSH, I was wondering why dark pulse is prefered opposed to psychic on cofagrigus. is dark pulse more energy efficient, or do you not really need the extra fighting/poison coverage psychic gives you?

Good question. Ghost is only resisted by two things - Dark (single resistance), and Normal (full immunity / double resistance in PoGo). Psychic hits Normal for neutral, so for there to be a benefit to Dark Pulse over Psychic in that aspect, there would have to be a secondary typing. What secondary typing could that be? I can only think of one: Psychic. Psychic resists Psychic, and Psychic does not resist Dark (it's weak to Dark). Now, Psychic is also usually weak to Ghost, which would otherwise disqualify it from what I'm looking for, but remembering that this paragraph is in relation to a secondary typing to be paired with Normal, a Psychic/Normal type is a Psychic type that now resists Ghost. Psychic hits Dark for nothing / double-resisted in PoGo. So regarding Dark, Dark Pulse is better than Psychic (Psychic the move, not the type, which yes its type is Psychic, but right now I'm referring to the move, as in the move in question regarding Cofagrigus). So someone correct me if I'm wrong, but when it comes to typing (the energy-efficiency of moves aside, as in their stats outside of considering typing), anyways, when it comes to typing, I think the only time Dark Pulse is preferred over Psychic is when going up against a Psychic/Normal type like Meloetta.

@@p.as.in.pterodactyl1024 That is very strange to me, considering that meloetta or oranguru are almost never used, but pokemon like toxicroak, toxapex, Machamp, crobat, Golbat, and nideoqueen are all used more frequently than the few psychic normal types. There must be some specific matchups that dark pulse wins compared to psychic I guess. I'm going to check pvpoke and see why it is.

@@p.as.in.pterodactyl1024 ok, upon checking PVPoke I found that there is literally no difference in the top meta threats, and all the using dark pulse does is make the matchup against guzzlord slightly better but still losing. I suppose that cofagrigus might not need the psychic coverage because of it's immunity to fighting and resistance to poison all ready, but I think I will still be running psychic just to make those matchups a little better.
