1812 Napoleon in Russia - SPI Board War Game from 1972

I vaguely recall this game being available back in my younger days, although never owned nor played. Very glad this video was created to remind me of it. The tactical chits remind me of something seen back then, but I can't recall what. I like your cards instead of the chits, and they remind me of the cards available via the Command and Colors system. Also, I like the look of the hex map, and curious as to how it plays as opposed to the area map, perhaps the latter is a faster play system? Anyway, this has me very curious, and interested in keeping my eyes out for a copy. Thank you!

I always wanted this one - a friend had it and we enjoyed playing back in the day. This video inspired me to get a copy on e-bay - and I am also inspired to try updated counters and cards. Always enjoy your videos and commentary Gilbert!

I had it back in 1978- My copy came packaged in a plain white cardboard box- Pre- SPI plastic tray!!

Nice review. Seems like a good game. Though the CRT may be brutal, the sequence appears to be unique. Any chance you could share a copy of the rules for the game? I'd be interested to read more into them before investing in a "collectors" edition of this. Thanks
