A new episode of the popular Discovery Company show was filmed on location at Excel Dryer, Inc., the East Longmeadow, MA-based manufacturer of the XLERATOR® high speed energy efficient hand dryer. The episode first aired on Friday, January 9th at 9:00pm EST on The Science Channel.

They have speed and sound control, so you can turn down the air rate so its quieter, It also comes with the optional noise reduction nozzle.

My school needs these I wish they had them because they are better than those old world dryers in our restrooms that still work but they are pretty old I believe they have been there since the school opened which I think was in 1990-2000 something like that

Unfortunately, whoever installed them was to lazy to adjust the sound. This can be done prior to install. Actually, both the sound AND heat can be adjusted! So if your hands were still cold after having them under the dryer, the janitor/maintenance dude did you guys dirty 😂

The only thing that makes them loud is your hands underneath the blower try adjusting their position to lessen the noise

The T&T in Lansdowne Centre Richmond, BC, Canada has these and they are super loud. I did a dB test on those ones and the average was 106 dB

I keep seeing comments on how loud they are. The people that do the installation of these dryers are more than likely lazy af and didn't take the time to change the factory settings on these. Both sound and heat settings are adjustable. It's unfortunate that so many people don't know this, these dryers are upwards of $450.00 each..they better have some sort of settings to ensure maximum satisfaction!

frame rate is so low

It is 29.97 FPS. Methink you just have a slow computer that is skipping frames. Try a lower resolution or upgrade your video card to something that can accelerate H.264, with adobe flash for best support, though today, step up a notch and get something with H.265 support too.
