Such underrated, awesome game, the only bad parts of it is unavoidable stealth episodes
@leninantoniochavezdiaz83144 жыл бұрын
The first part was more epic and more well developed in terms of story. Don't take me wrong, I did like this one as well BUT I felt that the second half of the game was rushed (from the second accolyte to the final boss). Also I think Victor Belmont was hugely wasted as a character, they could have done so much more with him

I've watched this playthrough thousands of times over and it's still mesmerizing to watch, with that skilled, yet goofy and personal charm oozing out of every move and edit. It really shaped the start of my long journey of getting into these types of "Tony Hawk-ish" beat 'em ups. I wouldn't quite say I wouldn't have eventually gotten into action games without this video, it was already buggin' me to no end how their design seemed confused and bloated to me while others, on the contrary, sang praises of their depth, so I clearly must've been missing SOMETHING. But I still remember hours and days of awkwardly trying to imitate this player's moves, having no idea what I was doing and where the heck they took these... exotic play instincts from, only knowing that, I gUeSs it looks kinda sick and much better than anything I was doing. Good times...

I honestly believe you are the best at this game. You literally know every move and when to use it, definitely the best playthrough of this game. You helped me a lot in conquering this game, I got 110%. One day, seeing one no-damage run done by you for the first game would be amazing.
@XLHGladiator Жыл бұрын
Thanks so much and congrats for clearing it. I've tried the first game before and i couldn't keep making videos because of the youtube matching system. It kept giving me visual and audio copyright matches. So I had to drop it. This game is much better in terms of combat so i don't think we've missed on that much.
@azistis_5539 Жыл бұрын
@@XLHGladiatorThank you as well. Very unfortunate that you couldn't upload for the first game. I and to ask you something, since you said in this video that the combat is excellent. How would you compare it with God of War combat, since its tge game LoS 1&2 are most accused of ripping it off. What did LoS 2 did better?
@XLHGladiator Жыл бұрын
I don't know much about GoW but i know Castlevania series has been making some decent combat since the PS1, GBA era. I don't believe in the term "rip-off" (in video games at least) unless everything was a blaitent copy&paste. Otherwise we may call every game a rip-off of something. The reason i liked this game's combat is because of the amount of moves you can do and the ability to cancel through most of your actions and dodge freely in any direction. Juggling smaller enemies was also a fun thing to do. It has its flaws, no doubt, but pretty fun and addicting once you get the hang of it. Surely, having a character who moves like Gabriel and mastering everything he has would make the enemies look like a punching bag for the most part, but, the game doesn't have to have heavy movents or annoying unbearable enemies to be called an action game. Another good reason was the bosses. I loved the bosses of this game! There were so many of them and almost all of them were so fun to fight.

DRAGOTH BELMONT My mage died after i stopped his regeneration and I went into panic mode. I locked him against the wall with bone storm and timed every combo to start when bone storm ended so i could repeat it endlessly. I had the ceramic 2 handed sword. This tactic was cheap, but I had no choice but to lock him out of the game, because any cast with your mage down is instant death. The fcker 1 hits my mage randomly and even when i toss guard up.

I'm glad someone finally asked ^_^ Hold triangle then release it, immediately hold it again during the hit animation (while dracula does the flip) and time your release exactly when the hit connects. Repeat and you can do it as much as you want. This also works with the Void sword by the way.

I will be practicing this in his Throne Room tutorial. Great video by the way, love how you made Dracula appear unstoppable but you're gameplay just proves that they needed more variety of monsters, more exploration in certain areas (the garden you fight pans brother in should have expanded to more than just a stealth section). Man I could go on, but I feel the fans should've had their hands on this game during the developmental period seeing as we had much better ideas than a certain rat bastard *cough* Enric Alvarez. Like the Kleidos challenges, they should've had one EXACTLY like the trailer where Dracula takes on the brotherhood army so you could take on wave after wave like a survival. Oh well, sorry for ranting, but I'm going to subscribe. Hope to see more LOS 2 content from you, if not that's fine too : ).
