Entertainment. Why do people spend $1000 on a brand new phone that's only a marginal upgrade to their current one? Why do people spend money on artwork commissions? Why do people spend money on music? Why do people spend money on Netflix subscriptions? None of those are necessities, but people still choose to spend their money if they value it enough. Xlice makes it abundantly clear that subing to his twitch is only optional and discourages it. Patrolling what people do with their money when it isn't destructive is pretty uncool.

@@marqkc There is one small difference tough. In all examples you used...you get value that is more easily noticable. You GET something from spending money. Being a drawing or better skills with your instrument when you take lessons. But giving your money to some random people where there content will be the same even without your money...its waisted. Its not even that these people need the money. Do you know how many people, pets or other things could use this money 100 times better? It just feels wrong to see people casualy giving people that dont need it 100 $ for a cause that has no worth what soever...pulling pixels in an scam not permanent mobile game...while 2 streets further there is a dog/cat/person dying from not having enough to eat. Of course its your money and that has nothing to do with Mr. PP. I love his content and he seems like a nice guy as far as we can tell. Its his work and he earns money to live. But under all these curciumstances this just feels dump.

i get where your coming from but just to give a bit of insights at least the way i see it. he does always say on twitch that spending money on him is a waste of chats money, and chat knows that spending money in him is of no real value to them. i think its more of the fact that some people in chat have some amount of disposable income and chose to spend it on him for their own entertainment. at least thats the way i see it. hope you have a lovely weekend😊
