This is such a stunning video, I have so much I want to say I could spin poems about it. The song captures how will and hannibal are unable to let each other go, no matter how many unspeakable, unthinkable, unforgivable things they have done to each other the knowledge that they understand and that they are understood, that they find a reflection of themselves in each other in some way, always painfully pulls them back to the other. It reminds me of soulmates as cliche as that sounds. To find someone who understands you so deeply you can be anything to each other. To be someone who enters a life and changes it so profoundly that once they make a place for themselves nothing else can fill that space when they leave. It’s a very ugly, beautiful, and painful way to show how the importance that is understanding. At least, this is my interpretation of it. Thank you for such an awesome video.

You must, this is one of the most criminally underrated pieces of art ever on television. The first time you watch it, it’s a psychological thriller, the second time you watch it, it’s a twisted gay rom-com. It’s also everything in-between (with inspirations from Asian expressionist horror, new French extremity, Italian art film, and every other underrated genre that everyone except critics and scholars are privy to. The show is smarter and more cultured than any other thriller I’ve ever seen).

I'm back AGAIN to say that this video... it's like you captured all the negative space moments, all the tiny pieces that people fail to commonly use, most people rely on the "Is Hannibal in love with me?" and various others, but every single moment of this when looked at alone, is like a single puzzle piece, we cannot see the whole, the art entire, but you've combined them perfectly, all the story captured in briefest of glances, in mirroring, in the symbolism of colour and you GROUPED them, to show us, look, see how Will is looking upward here, see how it happens again and again. You understand this medium to the utmost, you've mastered it and I still come every day because this video is almost more beautiful than the series itself. i know i’ve commented this several times but i wanna express how strong these edits have a hold over me (and i don’t like how i worded my initial long comment)😭 i’m STILL coming back to your account!! on this watch i found so many amazing parallels and matching clips that you put together that i didn’t notice before and i want to put them in one place so. here is a list of my favorite things -of course the mycelium at the beginning with the strong start of it reaching out to make contact - the beginning in general is just so eye-catching and sucks you in -0:31 will’s then hannibal’s opposite eyes - 0:53 hand shot to another hand shot - 0:59 “throw yourself away, leave it behind, become undone” as letters are being thrown in the fire and they’re “left behind” and the stag becoming undone along with Will on the kitchen floor -1:24 how in each frame will is starting to turn around and eventually leaves hannibal’s line of sight -1:40 hannibal approaching will from behind, getting closer in contrast to will leaving - “chasing,” if you will -the way you show how this song can apply to both of their perspectives (like at 1:47 when it’s from Hannibal’s and at 3:26 it’s from Will’s and it varies throughout the edit) -2:17 in the context of this song it feels like will raising the knife to hannibal’s throat it shows that Hannibal is willing to sacrifice himself if he can chase after Will; if he is to die, he wants it to be by Will’s hand -2:20 THE HANDS MATCHING UP and rising like the 2:50 one!!! -2:50 this one gives me so many chills, the way the notes with the strings rise and each clip is each character looking further up -3:05 the tension with the strings in the song and the way they match up with Hannibal waiting to hear what Will has to say… MMMM (honorable mention: every time will looks lovingly at hannibal. as a trans guy… so much gender envy 💀)
