Another great upload from another great artists (Y). It's almost criminal that such a well respected brand isn't publishing/asking their guest DJs for tracklists. You used to, even with chaptering?! Thought we were supposed to be promoting this form of art, and facilitating better engagement? Not to cuss XLR8R as they're doing a stellar job (along with other such brands), but this whole 'everything's a secret' vibe from some artists is just frustrating. What did you play? "Can't say". Who are releasing on next? "Can't say". Who's your booking agent? "Oh, I can talk about that". Then you have the occasional artist complaining about not making enough money on record sales/getting enough bookings. If tracklisting was a respected norm, there could be much more engagement, and much more money flowing through this sub-culture. The potential results: more frequent events with diverse bookings, increased ticket/record sales, more innovation, and less complaints (to name a few). Rant over ;)

Go buy and listen to a lot of music and find your own gems. That is how you can help the music industry.

Maybe the subculture that doesn't give tracklists doesn't want commercialised, over saturated exposure. Also, one the fundamentals of being a DJ is selecting tracks. Go to your local record store and start digging, and stop asking to be spoon-fed.
