XM Studios Nightcrawler or Sideshow |Which One?|Statue Chat

I’m a guy who usually leans towards XM statues, but I actually like the SS version of this one better. The only negative on the SS one I see is the seam line on the base where I believe his foot pegs in. Other than that, I like it more. It also helps that SS prices are more reasonable too! 😁

Tough choice but I agree with all of your points. You're getting more details on XM's Piece, and I like the dynamics and creativity behind their project more. However, the position of Nightcrawler (belly up) bothers me too much. Sideshow's does a good job capturing Nightcrawler's Character and bonus points where you can remove his sabers so overall, the Sideshow gets my vote.

My thoughts are very similar to yours... I'm not really a fan of the XM one at all. It's a good sculpt, but the pose is far too dynamic for my tastes and the suit design is too AOA/alternate universe. I love nearly everything about the SSC one, but only the base is a problem. Seeing it in person at SDCC, it is a lot larger than it seems in pictures... waaay too large. Also there are a lot of seams that stand out which might be adjusted in the production pieces, but I doubt it.

I feel like XM has been missing the mark lately. Their Spider-Man collection was absolutely amazing all around…their previous efforts on x men like wolverine, gambit, and omega red were all fantastic. But the last year or so has been a lot of misses for me with this, psylock, superman, and Batman.

I agree, it appears their just rushing statues out and depending on their brand in demand status to sell their statues. That’s why I pulled out from buying the War Machine.

All valid points , to me they should have just eliminated the poof of smoke its just to hard to portray it in a diorama IMO but this is not a statue for me anyway .

Sideshow all the way. The XM looks awful, and the suit design is way too overdesigned. I think the Sideshow is the perfect Nightcrawler.
