She says yes, which displeases Candy Pop, and he fixes her balloon after she breaks it and brings her back. I don't know about larger context, but the story itself was pretty clear.

You know, I was really getting into this one (the story the song is based on just to be clear), until they described his shadow... I could've rocked Candy Pop being Lucifer/Satan, be it just an embodiment of him or _literally_ the devil himself, but they could've done that _much more subtly_ and kept it towards the end. Until that part you really have no idea what this, seemingly friendly, magical jester is doing or for what purpose, but once they literally describe a demonic shadow, there's no point in reading on because you already know the twist. :/

Wandering Child Tbh Candy Pop really isn't like LJ at all other than the clown/jester theme. Where LJ is the stereotypical boogeyman trope, CP is more of a manipulative angel of death type of allegory. I think it's a far superior and less overdone concept, but that's just my opinion :)
