Yea same. Only thing I was looking forward to was Bishop and I wasn’t impressed. It’s mainly the new character design that I’m not a fan of, but the figure just looks cheap. I already have Select Vision and I think it looks better than the new Hasbro one, which will probably come with very few accessories. For Magneto, he’s not bad but something looks off.

To me, the best part of the xmen 97 figures is that they sculpted the bottom of the shorts on the hip joint. I hope this starts to be a standard thing.

Speaking of team completion, I'd love to get original New Mutants versions of Wolfsbane, Cannonball, Sunspot, Cypher, Magik, and Magma as well as the original X-Men line-up. Not sure if we've ever gotten Giant-size X-Men versions of Wolverine and Cyclops (although an original X-men version of him would be almost the same)...

Those X-Men 97 figs are what has me most excited. I've been a fan of Magneto since way back when. The only thing I can fault from looking at the photos, is his helmet looks to sit a little high. Oh and not having purple hands. An unhelmeted head would be cool. Does he have power effects? Storm and Rogue look great but no bicep swivels and single jointed hands are disappointing. Wolvie looks near perfect, but that Gambit is too similar toy retro version for me to be interested in it.

The Detroit Steel is a clever reuse, but the silhouette suffers by not retooling the abdomen. The Deadpool 2 pack looks amazing and is a great price. I hope we see a Pulse release for premium members. Would be a shame if they didnt.

For me my most want when I get money is to get the new comic Blade because he looks cool especially the open fang head, Vision looks great because I only have White Vision, and most definitely I will try to get Magneto too.

I’m a lock on Wolverine, Bishop and Magneto (figures they’d do this one after I bought the MAFEX lol. I thought they’d do the initial show design which looks like after his trial in Uncanny 200. Detroit steel depends on price. That’s heavy reuse. If it goes past &40 I’ll debate. I’m not interested in the Disney plus wave and I think the Hydra stomper looks cheap too. Granted puff adder looks cheap imo but I wanted almost all the figures so nothing lost.

Thanks for the video Xmanny. Any change of thoughts to the ML Haslab after seeing the Ghost reveal? I'm struggling to determine how the ML team ia going to go this year. Everybody thinks Gioant-Man but there is my spidey-sense tingling on this one. Dwight's "Giant" bomb could mean different things.

And I have to wonder if anyone would fund a $300 action figure of Giant-Man (its not like he has a buck detailed like the Sentinel or Galactus).

Looks pretty good, could have used more X-Men. But then, I could always use more X-Men... Semi-related, you see the new MAFEX X-Men figures? Classic Phoenix, AoA Cyclops and Weapon X figures, specifically. The Cyclops is just a gray scale prototype, but it already looks 9 trillion times better than that Bucky Cap crap we got from Hasbro.

Mafex recently released the best Magneto and Storm, and last year, re-released Gambit (i think you can still find it at a reasonable price), and Hasbro released storm a while back(3 years ago?) , and gambit & rogue a year ago, so I understand why you don't feel very hyped, mafex is a hard act to top, don't get me wrong, they are great figures, and it's more affordable than Mafex, but they're just a slight improvement to their retro-wave counterparts. Wolverine looks the best IMO, never got the mafex, and I still have the apocalypse version, it's the perfect size and has a good amount of accesories, personally, I preffer the foX-Men wolverine claws

I was so surprised by Detroit Steel. I can't tell if he has metallic paint or if he's half n half like so many recent Iron man figures. Going to pass on the X-Men as I am just a comic collector. I'll hold out for updated Bishop and Magneto comic figures. Still can't get a perfect Magneto from Hasbro.

Gambit looks good, but it doesn't really differ from the retro card version that was at target. Rouge seems to be fully updated so I may get her after see better pics. Wolverine is a great update. Storm is OK, and Magneto doesn't look that different from the 3 pack version.
