Axles outlasted my front diff, transmission and prop shaft. They are now on another Highlifter rig still running without issues.

Thanks for checking out the video! Hopefully people find this video helpful when making a choice on axles.

For sure the Super ATV axles are stronger, but just wondering about where the OEM axles snapped, If you are in the same situation where you snapped the OEM axle but have the Super ATV axles on could you damage the gear box or wheel housing instead of breaking the axle?
@XMARGH5 жыл бұрын
Pat Each time the OEM axles broke at the axle bar before the cv. Honestly I wasn’t on it very much each time but the stars must have aligned. I’m very confident that these axle are the right solution for this RZR. There are stronger axles out there but I’d worry just like you said it might break other parts.

Awesome video!, thanks for the time and effort. I do have one question, how come RCV axles are so much more expensive than rhino 2.0 axles ? they both use the same materials (chromoly)?
@XMARGH4 жыл бұрын
HBK RCV are the best axles in the world in many peoples opinions. They use the best boots, the best grease, the best joints..etc. But not everyone can afford $600 per axle. There’s a market for everyone. 90% of builds the RCV will be overkill, that’s why I found these to be a great balance of strength and price.

Finally broke my 1st axle (rear) on my '16 turbo. We live in the rocks. Great video, learned a lot. Did you do the long term video? I wasn't able to find it. Pretty sure I am going with stock replacement to save the transmission.

Tin Star In the year that I had them I had no issues with the axles. But it also moved the weaker points further down the driveline. If it took you this long to break an axle I would go back to stock as well.

@@XMARGH I am just posting a follow up. Stock axles were $250 and up. I found the 2.0's for about $210 shipped to my door so I went with them. So far sitting in my shop the transmission hasn't exploded. I appreciate your input, thank you!

I thought about them for the Sportsman but ended up going with the Highlifter DHT's. So far so good...but I have heard a lot of great things about the Rhinos!

Same thing here, everyone had great reviews on the Super ATV rhino original's, and for those people running the 2.0's no one I heard had broke one yet. We will see!

I only know of one that busted and that was on a 1000 outlander with a 6'' lift...kind of asking for something to break with that much lift. lol. I do know they stand behind their name that is for sure!

Rather keep breaking stock axles before blowing out front diff
@XMARGH5 жыл бұрын
RON GEARHART It’s a good point Ron but I felt the stock axles were a liability out on the trails. I think the Turbo XP front diff that comes stock in the Highlifter should be up to the task.

Yeah these axles suck yeah they're beefy and everything and they look tough but have them on for about 2 months depending on what part of the country and see how easy they come off. I've had stock axles literally I can sit back Yank on and get them to pop loose you take these Rhino axles and slide them back and forth trying to break them free especially on a razor the axle slips out of the CV and then you're taking the CV apart to get the fucking cop out garbage.

Steve Carr Best to put some never seize on the axle splines to make taking them out easier. FYI I have had to take them out a few times since this video with no issue. They are a double plunging axle so they will move in and out. I’ve also seen my stock axle pull out of the CV when removing.
