Want one . Stunt trucks are the most fun for me . G2 max6 coming tomorrow though for the k6s . The stock esc is fine . I fried one . I’m thinking the motor might/will stay cooler hopefully , 🤞. Had to order some 6” wires . I think this takes the 3” ones

@julzgalang . Don’t have a guide on the xmaxx but the esc is plugged into the throttle slot where the old esc came out the motor needs a different mount . There’s a lot of them search eBay for xmaxx motor mount 56series something with the large can size. For that motor 5690 it use 8mm shaft so you will need a mod 1 pinion with a 8mm bore.

@ i already have the 30mm pnw rc motor mounts on the way. And a mod 1.5 gears coming. Does the motor already have slots for the mounts? I really need to see how people do it.

@julzgalang . The motor has the holes in it just need to screw them down to the motor mount. The pnw mount should come with the necessary hardware.

Wow that thing got super hot if I heard those numbers right... 170f on both motor and esc? Have you geared down since this video? I was hoping to get about 60mph while staying cool but maybe I'll have to go max5 g2 v2 instead of the max6 g2 and stick some fans on the 5690 motor

@keldonator . Haven’t geared it down was waiting on thermal shut down just seeing if it works with the sensored setup, was hoping to hit thermal so I could adjust.

thanks for this video! I bought the max6 g2 on the stock motor. But want to go for a hobbywing motor. debating on 1250kv or 1100kv g2. Which one would you go after your experience with the 1250? Would you do it the same again?

@NS-cd5yg . No complaints here with that 1250kv setup perfect. I would definitely do it again🦾.. went with that motor to try to keep everything looking stock didn’t want the ESC sitting to far foward and high 👊🏾💯

If you go 1100kv, get the Max5 or you will have heat issues.

Can you snip off the sensor cable from the ESC if you dont need it?

@Xbot4Life . Yeah punch 9 is the new 5. But you have to mess wit the initial throttle response too when you turn the punch up,It’s a lot more too it then the old max 6. I just left everything stock . If you turn the punch up make sure you have high C rated packs.👊🏾💯

@liamquinlan9445 I used some of the Traxxas foam that come with the aluminum accessories to move it up in that spot. You would need a motor mount for the motor tho if you get the combo. Esc plate wouldn’t hurt if you don’t like to think to make it work for you. 👊🏾💯

Hey here I am again. Parts arrived this weekend and struggling to make it fit. My plan was to lift the ESC and went back to your video to see how you made it fit. I see you raised it as well? What did you use?

@NS-cd5yg . I use the extra battery foam protector that comes with the xmaxx . Had a couple of them laying around, then double sided tape it in place where the sensor wire wasn’t binding.

how did you mount the esc? I just got this combo and while it fits some of the wires are rubbing against the motor and I am worried the motor gettting hot might damage them.

@danny1483 . All I can say is, it has better throttle response,smoother way more power curve and control. Not throwing shade but Stock esc is lacking tuning options. Plus the sensored set up has a better feel IMO. 👊🏾💯

I hate these hobbywing systems. They are slow unless you use boost and turbo, then they will melt your battery terminals. Hobbywing sucks, I feel sorry for anybody who buys this crap.

@ProperSkill . Sorry you’re having bad luck wit Hobbywing, i just run mine stock settings,only adjust bec voltage for my servo. Never had battery connectors melt. I guess when you max out everything and run weak batteries/connectors that’s what happens.👊🏾💯
