Gas traps have a directionality similar to that of floor freeze and tire traps, but instead of knock back, they trigger sooner. Also, to the best of my knowledge, wall darts trigger at up to 3 tiles, but travel for 5.

I don’t know who keeps spreading that information but I spent a long time testing it. It doesn’t matter which way a gas trap is pointed, it doesn’t have a directionality component to it. I went through and counted frames on multiple tests. It doesn’t matter

23:40 This is a good point. I notice one of the reasons I fail missions the most, is because the entire team failed to get lobbers taken care of. Whenever I'm playing late game missions I tend to focus lobbers first. This season we're being spared with the love lobbers, but any other season, lobber control matters a lot more.

I'm so glad they got rid of the "stun counter" mechanic or whatever you wanna call it. Before that, I didn't bother using traps. Course that was when I first started playing and I was running a soldier build 99% of the time. I'd just pop a war cry, throw a frag grenade, and start slingin' lead down range. Simple and very effective lol. Chewed through ammo though bc I ran a Terminator. As for your usage of gas and freeze, its a perfect example of why its so powerful. When I first started playing StW, I struggled to find any recent info on the game mode. I was looking for a guide on how to perk my Obliterator sniper and found your channel. Your Best Perks series has helped me get the most out of every aspect of my gameplay. Before I found your channel I just left Autofill on in my survivor squads. Now I use your Best Perks for traps as a basis for perking my traps for endurance and modifying them as I notice any holes or changes that I want to make. Its also thanks to your guides that I learned how powerful the Floor Freeze/ Ceiling Gas combo is. Running that for my endurance builds plus a liberal sprinkling of Wall Darts, Broadsides (facing each other), Wall/ Floor Launchers, Tire traps and Electric fields have helped me out a lot. Thanks for all the time and effort you put in to your content

Another bonus for wall darts is the darts shoot up to 6 tiles so as long as something triggers them from 3 tiles it will hit opponents 5 tiles away

I always go Megabase Kyle for Multiple Atlasses… Will cover all the floor between them and in 90 percent if al cases every atlas is covered by it… I build a roof over all of the atlasses…. The mats that does the best protection for the element of the husks will be used for the atlasses itself… After placing everything i put half high squares around the atlasses to funnel the husks into traptunnels by still be able to see and shoot over the squares… But the enemies can’t shoot you…The good things about the squares is also, if the husks break through them you let them do it, raise the walls and trap the breakthrough in seconds… The trap tunnels consist of Broadsides and depending on the length of them i choose floor spikes or if they fall to short i use floor freezer… The roof over it is covered with my electric ceilings… I go at least in 160s with 3k of each mat and about 20 of each of the mentioned traps… You just have to watch for smashers, basically nothing else will come through… Works every time no matter what levels

A thing I usually do is put some walls darts going down from the ceiling electric field… You can kinda realize where I’m going with this at 19:16

Great to see some videos on how to complete missions without jailing. A couple of points: 1. Use wooden floor spikes near the beginning of trap areas to slow down husks - they're a lot cheaper than floor freeze traps and will do enough at the entrance of trap areas 2. Placing too many tyre drop traps will cause FPS drops and lag for a lot of people, so be careful with how many you use 3. There was a disappointing lack of broadsides firing out into the open with nothing to bounce off. Git gud. :)

I place to many drop traps sometimes and i don't see any fps drop but i won't say the same for anti-air trap those actually cause fps drop even if u place only 10 which is weird .

@@mrfries2911 it seems that if you put drop traps underneath with anti airs on top then it lags. Really obvious in endurance where it will cause rubber banding and the timer to go backwards.

Speaking of confused players. I find the meta for new players utterly bizarre. 1. Scam your way into getting stacks of end game crafting materials. 2. Trade it for end game traps and weapons. 3. Never upgrade schematics or survivors because "don't worry I have 130s." 4. Use the loot to attract experienced players that will explain how to do early game quests. 5. Realize that you can't trade evolution materials and you need to actually play the game to increase power level. Play the game however you want, but I find it so weird that players obsess over late game loot before even understanding how basic game features work. Everything becomes an exercise in trading or looking for help, when most of the game could be done solo. I'm not complaining though. Did a Plankerton mission and a guy traded me x999 sunbeam for x999 batteries because that was his playstyle. He just wanted me to tell him what a storm chest was, and then tell him what it means to smash an anomaly. True story.

I had a target practice literally the tile next to an atlas before. makes you build extra wide. not the end of the world. its always funny to see people quit the lobby when they see all atlas on the ground, or one in bad terrain. because, I concur. it should be easy. 1 atlas per person. converge on the boss. easy mode. side note about some of the weird terrain that you ceiling off if the husks cant fit in there the ceiling electric can still branch out at pretty extreme angles.

Not sure how true it is but I've watched about gas traps and was told use same as tíre drops as in with back to spawn but then turn left when placing?

In Mitch's vids he showed and proved with the Tire Traps when you look up you want the MUFFLER closest to you when you look up and your back of your player should be facing the spawn of the husks, or looking towards your tunnel/trap build. That is how you tell which way the tires will fall and push husks back

Put a couple of wall dance traps at the start of your tunnel and they will drop the propane and continue walking through. Two slightly spaced out is the best way because of reload times or if your rich make two different reload copies
