I unboxed my Syntakt last night and felt cautious and mystified. Found your video on the train to work this morning, and soaked in the first 15 minutes. Then I watched it on the ride home. I turned on my Syntakt and spent a couple minutes going over what I learned, and wound up spending two hours engrossed in it. Thank you so much! Hi, Really nice! I don't have it either but I still appreciate your deep diving tutos. At first sight, I don't see a huge difference between the digitakt and this machine. It seems to be quite the same gears, except for the analog parts ! Thanks again!

Thanks for the comment. They are way different. Digitakt is a sampler, it needs samples to produce sound. Digitakt uses machines, they like synths or sound generators, no samples at all. Most of the functions, like sequencing, loading , project, etc. Is the pretty much the same. But sonically speaking they sound different and you need to dial in the sounds. With a DIGITAKT you import a sample.

Hello, for patterns chaining, as long as PTN is hold with one trig, you can continue the chain, no need to be the first one all time (os v1.21). And you can change banks in chaining, it needs some finger's gym🤸‍♂ Great video, thx.

Great vid. Although - am I the only one who's disappointed that there aren't more "clap" machines? I could do without some of the snares. Some of them sound good, but I'd really rather have a few different clap machines to choose from. Although I suppose with the filter/amp sections, I could sculpt the one clap machine in enough different ways to have some variation. Anyone else have thoughts on this?

i still dont understand the FX block / FX track. Why would I want to use the FX track when I can do all the same paramaters on the Tracks themselves? There's no different FX's (except analog overdrive), I don't get it. I can do paramater locks and change the Trig/Syn/FLTR/AMP/LFO 's all in the tracks themselves, so what is the point of doing it in the FX track instead?

Hello, what you do in the FX can be applied to all routed tracks and to the input audio channels too

Every time I see all those empty squares in the effects block I feel sadness. I know Elektron was completely up-front about which effects it has in it, but I just cannot help but feel like it could have been packed with more. Will they add more later? Is that why they are empty but still show up? Like at least give us some bitcrush/sample redux.

Maybe this will be what I need to get back into this piece of gear. Got one in February, was my first full Elektron device(had the Model:Samples). After trying it out and trying to get used to it, it ended up sitting under my bed for the last 5-6 months.

try using it with a midi controller/DAW like ableton/push, having a midi keyboard and stuff like euclidian sequencer, stepper, expression controls, etc, opens this machine wayyyyy up and makes it like a whole 'nother instrument. also i highly recommend buying a couple sound packs from elektron, gives you a ton of awesome patches to play with and really opens your eyes to how much is possible with this machine.
