And to make it even more awesome, in addition to using LFOs or automation, there is a third option for the instrument selector: you can pick one of the switching modes available in the inspector panel. There's a random mode, a "random other" mode (pick a random layer but different than the current one), a round-robin mode (next note gets the next layer) and a few others. And of course the same goes for the FX Selector and the Note FX Selector. Oh yeah, they can also switch between layers based on the current midi note. All of this is crazy good, and I only discovered that 3 nights ago :-)

Great tutorials! liked and subscribed. quick question, wouldn't it be possible to achieve something similar to the automated selection of instruments from Inst. Selector but with instrument layer by automating the "solo" option for each layer/instrument? cheers

Is it possible to select instrument inside instrument selector based on current note velocity? It is definitely possible in ableton within instrument rack chains, but I have no idea to to do it in Bitwig. I managed to control it somehow with Expression modulator, but it is not very obvious and not so easy as Abeton rack chains. Also it is possible to implement with Instrument Layer with Note Filter instead of Instrument Selector, but I am not sure that it is the most precise way.
