My native language is not English and I don't understand all the slang. Could someone tell me what slow burn and fling mean? the way they approach or confess their feelings to another, slow or fast approach?

It's a reference to the type of relationship. A fling is short relationship not meant to last, like a summer fling, or a camp fling. While a slow burn is a relationship that starts out slow and seemingly innocuous, but grows more intense over time. Kitty's 4 year, long distance relationship with Dae is a slow burn, while Min Ho's week? 2 week? relationship with Madison would be a fling.

@Mariajbh2 Yes, it's the same in the US. A fling may include sex, but it's not necessary. The other person may have been confusing a fling with what is called a "one night stand" where the couple has sex with the intention of probably never seeing each other again. Or, they may be referring to what is called "hookup culture," where people have casual sex with each other, but are not dating or otherwise romantically involved, and also hang out together with a common group of friends others of which they may also be "hooking up" with, though thst is not guaranteed either.

@Mariajbh2 in both cases, "hook up" and "stand" mean sex, but the difference is that in a one night stand, the participants will not see each other ever again. While in hook up culture, the participants know each other and will continue to see each other and may continue "hooking up" but are not romantically involved. [Edit] flings are defined relationships, while hook ups are more casual. Which can be one way to differentiate them. So the people involved in a fling ARE dating, they are a couple. While in a hook up, they are not.
