I love this video. It’s not easy but at least it’s an average person trying to learn how to get into a damn tree with all the gear. You will get muscle memory built up fast and it will become easier over time. The first few tries is an adrenaline rush just sitting your butt in the stand! Thanks for the motivation!

thanks so much. took a while for me to find your video. almost all vids are ppl just talking about how they would climb or setting it up while standing on the ground..... your vid is reality and looks a little trickier than marketers would have me think.

Great video! Hang on sticks and stands are no joke! There are tons of moving parts compared to a climber, especially in the dark with winter clothes on. Makes me sweat like crazy. Good luck with the setup!

I think the trick is to place it a day or two before using. At least that’s how I use mine on public. Of course I use a cable lock and take the sticks out with me.

I just got the Air raid and you made that look easier than I did mine as a practice run. It is definitely a learning curve coming from a climber to a hang on. I do like mine alot just need to get more comfortable with it

@@johnsonboysoutdooradventur8119 did either of you figure out how to use a rope thimble and cord to make that knot move one handed? Or did ya end up getting the rope man one ascender ?

Buy a Ropeman 1 for your linemans belt. Makes it a hell of a lot easier and can use it one handed!!!

Justin Sigmon exactly what I was going to say. The way he did it in the video was all wrong. Practice and practice

Just a tip on your linemans belt, get rid of the prussic knot and buy a Wild Country Ropeman 1 to replace it with. I will try and put a video up soon on my channel of it. It is so much easier than using the prussic knot. Good luck this year fellas!

How is the comfort as far as leg room on this vs the air raid stand
@johnsonboysoutdooradventur8119
@johnsonboysoutdooradventur8119 5 жыл бұрын
I use the Lonewolf but I am sure my brother will reply with his experience with the XOP. In my experience looking at my brothers stand compared to my larger Alpha II stand there looks to be plenty of room if you lift the seat while standing. If you leave the seat down then you are limited in space between where your legs would touch the seat and your feet would touch the front of the stand. Wearing a size 11 boot you have plenty of room. The other observation is there isn’t a dramatic difference in size from the front of the seat to the front of the stand. Seems that most of the added size come from below the seat back to the tree. Hope that helps.

Johnson Boys Outdoor Adventures thanks man I was looking at some videos and I think it’s only 2 inches so I’m going to go with the vanish for a run and gun setup for this season

You can’t go wrong with the Vanish. It has plenty of room to move around up in the air.

If you don’t feel safe in a climber you want in this. I sleep I’m my climber. But, not in my hang on.

Never will I understand how anyone could think this is easier or safer than a quality climber.
@johnsonboysoutdooradventur8119
@johnsonboysoutdooradventur8119 4 жыл бұрын
I think both are safe if they are done properly. I have used both and what i liked about this was the option of getting into trees with limbs without having to cut them. We also use tree saddles and i think i like those best.

If ya have your own ground why would ya want a climber set these and hunt all season
@johnsonboysoutdooradventur8119
@johnsonboysoutdooradventur8119 3 жыл бұрын
We actually hunt public land but opt for these or tree saddles because they give us more options to hunt.
