Judging from what Xotic support and others have said, I am surprised that there was an audible difference between the two pedals at the same level of gain. The Super Clean sounds... cleaner!

Very good comparison, the dip switches on the side can do a difference in the tone depending of the style of music you play. I do have a Super Clean after a Tumnus and it gives a great character to the tones, some people may use it the other way and in fact I have a Zeus after the Super Clean for those cases. I use mine sometimes at 10:00 and others at 12:00 with gain on the Tumnus at 9:00 to keep the tones clean but fat and jazzy.

Thanks for your explanation but if you just use the super clean as a buffer and for the tone and no gain and always on. Because my distortion pedal has enough gain already. EVH 5150

I got great tones with the Super Clean, moreover there are dip switches to enhance the tones in different frequencies. The setting I have is 1 and 3 on that corresponds to warm fat tone. Super Sweet as it has 20dB, could be an overdrive but the 12dB of Super Clean are more than enough for jazz where we want to preserve clean tones

Super Clean 💯 sounds great, Super Sweet sounds great going into the dirt tone so it all depends on what you like 👍🏼
