I’m gonna give you some no bullshit takes because you have ACTUAL potential. The biggest downfall of all young musicians, especially those with insight and self awareness who are trying to write lyrics with heart and not just “drugs and a vibe”, is lack of life experience to reflect in their writing. And honestly there isn’t much to be done about that. You’re so damn young that there’s still an entire life to live, and it’s a little bit indicative in the writing. If that doesn’t make sense now, it will in a few years. The song is so well produced, the vocal performance and sound itself are pretty much perfect, so the ONLY real criticism I can levy is the lyrical content. And that just comes with time and experience. If you don’t quit or give up, It WILL get there. That’s something that can only come with extensive writing and living life the best you can. That’s why the greats all have 20+ writing credits on their songs, because it’s sometimes the most difficult aspect itself. Shit, Quadeca himself is the best example of this! Look at his lyricism on Voice Memos and compare that to I Didn’t Mean To Haunt You…..It is night and day. You can literally feel the experience and age difference. I think you’ll easily get there if you keep doing this.

ever since i’ve started (4 years ago) i knew it would take a long time to make it where i want, i’ve exceeded my own expectations a couple times people believe in me more than I thought they would. Point is I never thought I would see success and now that I’ve gotten a little taste of it I’m obsessed. I don’t care if it takes me another 10 years I’m gonna do something special with my music. I’m gonna do something special with my brand and my image I’m going to help people with my message what my message may be I’m carefully crafting that as I go. experiencing life will absolutely make my lyrics better because that’s all my lyrics are now. my lyrics are really my thoughts. (and if they aren’t i just want to be a good vibe) [prolly more i could say but this is a decent chunk of what i want to type]

@@XOXGENNY Having that kind of attitude is the most it takes, that and being passionate about the music itself, which you clearly are. And don’t get me wrong I don’t think your lyricism is bad by ANY stretch. I’m just a little older (found you through Quad obviously lol), so I was just giving my perspective from a boomer ass 20+ year old that could maybe apply to a wider, general audience. I think you easily appeal to your age demographic and could blow the fuck up with enough promotion. The song is fire, and the lyrics aren’t bad at all, you can just tell that you’re young and write from that perspective. Like a teenage angst vibe. That’s really all I mean. There’s nothing wrong with it.
