Great day Gaz.👍👍 Always nice to see the odd comment from people who's carers aren't watching over them 😁😁 These are really early days with the introduction of the D2 in field conditions, and despite the excellent factory preset programs, ie turn on and go, there are some very interesting adjustments to this D2. The General and Park combined with square mode is something else. Looking forward to next video. Glad you mentioned the handbag fights at the end. Theres been quite lot of this on groups lately sadly 😖. The D2 is here to stay and will go from strength to strength 💪. Looking forward to it rolling of the shelves and getting to dedicated detectorists patiently waiting. 👍👍

This past weekend, I was on one of the heaviest iron sites I have ever been on. It was a machine gun of iron signals and tons of iron laying about at this old pioneer home site. Big iron, little iron, nails, wire, just loads of it. I tried the stock General program and also the Deep HC which is one of my favorites. After a while at this new site, my ears began to adjust to those good signals reaching through the iron vs the iron falsing but I was still digging too many bad targets. I decided to try some other programs including Gary's Nero program with the higher 2nd tone. I am going to do a video showing what happened with that program and call it the iron killer because it changed the game for me that day and my percentages of digging only good interesting targets increased by a lot. This is probably because of the lower iron audio volume and higher hz tone in the upper range but those lightbulb moments were very distiguishable and jumped right out at you. I want to go back and try the general and deep HC and adjust some of the volumes, frequencies, and reactivity to see if I can tune it in further. Didnt find any bangers but I went from digging 50/50 good vs bad targets to 90/10 which saved my back and knees. Brilliant machine.

@@The-skillschool OK, still not making since to me why you would have it connected during a search like that. I still haven't had my hands on any of the XP headphones yet so forgive me for not flowing your logic on this. I understood the round WSAII control module to be part off one of the headphone cups "cans". I also assumed all the wireless technology to be inside the same module. Hopefully the design doesn't have some wireless module hanging off a cord that has to be stowed in a pocket or shoulder strap as that would be a SAD DISAPPOINTING design but maybe XP did this to off load heavy batteries from the head for a more comfortable operation? After all the repeated flaunting of "NO WIRES" announcements in the release video and now I see you have a wire connected to the headphones I have to ask since we here in the US are still waiting to get our D2 units in our own hands to answer may of these basic questions. As a technician I also have to understand that you working so closely with XP may have a special configuation thats nonstandard as in real time data collection for direct feedback to the engineers as you continue beta testing the product line out in the field... I over think a lot of things but then most of us OCD detector nerds do making us great at our craft! Thanks so much for your time.

To eliminate small cracks from iron you may need to turn the reactivity or the silencer up a little. If it's big iron the bottle cap reject at 1 will help.

If the rubber band breaks while you are detecting in fast flowing will the connection to the coil come apart?

Gary, are the WS6 headphones waterproof as far as rain showers? I've read the manual but couldn't see where it said anything about it.

you find roman coins like i find ring pulls in the far southwest, i dont think ive ever found a roman coin in my life, ime seriously contemplating the Deus 2, ime just a bit standoffish about the price considering i only get out once or twice a month due to not being able to drive. 1300 quid is a lot of money for me to find even more ringpulls & rusty iron pennys & only have 1 coil. I have the Xterra pro & am well versed with it & ive never found a single nice thing with it in th 2 years ive had it & ive searched some prime spot with it to, my detectore before that wich i still have is an awfull Seban pulse induction thing that can find a nail 3 feet down but will pass right over gold & silver. I think if i do go for the Deus2 ide like a high frequency elispe coil with it, thers gold here, ive found it just rooting thru the soil.

Despised the first deus, 2 seems to be the same with a few sprinkles,

Why do you dispose the deus ?. what other options are as good as the deus ?.
@Bakersvill3 жыл бұрын
@Michael when released, I dug more iron than finds in any setting, soon as I switched to ctx gold and silver and no iron, running the nox now , same, found very little with the deus
@Michael-vf5id3 жыл бұрын
@@Bakersvill Maybe you just dont understand machine. The Nox sees everything as good targets including tin foil and caps. Very hard to distinguish between good targets with the nox. The ctx was good but wasnt very good on gold and was so heavy and slow i have 2 of them but i found way more with the deus than i ever did the ctx or Nox.The ctx had a very bad habit of missing targets amongst other trash because of its recovery speed which is well known in the metal detecting work because of its fbs2 .
@Bakersvill3 жыл бұрын
@Michael I've had at least 15 detectors and learnt them inside out ,for me deus was the worst based on finds ratio, spent 6 months on deus
@raye79613 жыл бұрын
@@Bakersvill I had the nox 800 almost 3 years and found lots of trash with it. Got the Deus and found very little trash with it, maybe because I found out how to avoid digging trash with the Deus.
