John … thanks for sharing this with us … and of course bringing attention to the guys channel where you got this from .. that’s very honourable of you .. shows what a decent person you are … not that I ever doubted it … It would be great if you did some more advice / lessons of metal detecting based on your experience and knowledge … which I. Sure would be valuable to those who are thinking or just starting out like Spanish Simon …which I’m sure you’ve passed on to him already … Look forward to your next post and what excellent finds that may come your way … especially the Roman field …

Blessings, my Scottish Detectorist friend, from this old fart in Tennessee. You, my friend, are a natural educator…and I love it that you also raise chickens. On this old man’s Tennessee homestead, has 2 sheep, 2 turkey and 11 chickens, who provide 4 eggs per day…and wonderful music in the early mornings.

Hi! Write yours program from gold filled plz.
@662OutdoorAdventures Жыл бұрын
@@ASD-lz5fc thanks for asking! Keep in mind that I am in the USA so my settings may not be the best for your area but other than the default settings I am increasing Disc IAR to 3 or 4 depending on how much iron is at the specific site, running threshold at 2, and notch from 0-40.

It would be so funny if you started a video by yelling, "Hello my lovers! I'm back out on the field!" haha

How come you don’t go into expert from the IAR screen and turn notch to on to fix the dreading iron issue with 00-00?
@thescottishdetectorist Жыл бұрын
Good point. Don’t ask me why but I like the machine sounding like a bag of spanner’s meets a Saturday night disco, so I just leave it as is, but it’s a personal choice I suppose.
@mistermister1140 Жыл бұрын
@@thescottishdetectorist the constant iron falsing drove me nuts with the only way to tell constantly having to keep checking the screen for the 00-00, was so relieved they fixed it with the notch
@NE-land-sea Жыл бұрын
V2.0 goldfield has the same issue. You got to turn notch on to 00-00 with same settings that you run in v.71 relic! FYI goldfield is fair superior to relic it finds the smallest targets n at depth !

@NE-land-sea Жыл бұрын
#1 in water, slight advantage on dry ground by its separation capabilities over the next closest one which is # two Manticore for a slight depth advantage but not nearly as good in separation and and totally sucks in the water over d2

@@thescottishdetectorist If you want deep targets, then dont increase IAR in relics. Otherwise you can miss deep targets what can be seen as iron (deeper the target, harder for machine to identify it) Auto frequency shift is not ground balance. It is for case when ambient noise disturb detector. And it not working well. Better is to choose by urself quiter ,,channe,,. Pumping coil, is ground balance. Dont slamp device against ground. Deus2 is really good device. Also relic program (actually there just 3 different programs, how frequency merged and calculating way. Those simply factory presets) is good preset. I personally find ship rivets (viking era) from approx 50-60cm under sandy ground. Just my few coins to our hobby. Good luck m8!
