Very much appreciated for this my friend. I have been struggling for a couple of years with the #9 hot program on the deus lite. Today it really annoyed me, and you were the only one that explained the settings in a way that I understood better. I was under the impression the hot program was the best. Thanks Steve. To be honest mate, a lot of the "expert settings" are no different to many detectors out there, the Deus is not as complicated as some people like to make out. I have done the filming, it should be out soon buddy. ATB MMMD

Before I bought a Deus, I also thought it would be too complicated. It is complicated! But as you have said, you can take it out of the box, brand new and just use it on Basic, without making any changes at all. I think the only one you may want to change is the sensitivity, if you are in a noisy field. After that, just use it as it is.

Spot on Ken. Funny thing about sensitivity, it's the one thing I think XP should change on the presets. Sens 80 runs so much better and the loss of depth on deep targets is negligible in my opinion. ATB MMMD

What I did was to make one custom program, Basic, with the sensitivity turned down a bit, and I also changed the graphic to the square one with the 45deg line, as I found that more informative. Other from those two elements, its Basic. Oh, I think I used Wet Beach a few times too.

I doesn't really matter buddy. If the soil is very wet on top and the machine is noisy then just drop sensitivity to around 70, you will still get good depth. My favourite is P2 but I change to full tones. ATB MMMD

I stick with the t2 or fisher 75se deeeep and not hard as this machine any machine you have master mynold school whites eagle spectrum will.go deep just heavy 90 13 in on coin in trash set up right but must no how set up any machine
