😅 I said around 1:29 that “Xpeng are calling the P7+ their new flagship sedan” - this is not correct. What Xpeng say is the P7+ has “flagship level space”

Love the review. Please remember it is vision-centric not vision-only. It uses two different types of radar. The milimeter wave radar may partially replace the lidar.
@ChinaDrivenАй бұрын
@@enigmatum Sure. But only Tesla have gone full bore camera only. Xpeng has move from “vision first” with LiDAR as a redundancy., to “vision only. But as you pointed out they aren’t insane like Tesla and still use radars. Maybe at some point they will remove them. But compared to the ONVO L60 which has replaced the LiDAR with 4D miliwave radar this Xpeng P7+ is definitely more camera reliant.

While I'm a NIO guy, I like your content. Your style of review is my favorite. Keep it up and teach those kids to USE A GODAMN RULER!

Thanks! I think the NIO is a great car as well. I try to keep things fun,

I see they are going the BYD naming convention, with for example their normal / pro / plus being totally different cars.

Does the table on the back of the seats rely on the seat position of person in front and do you have to be sitting that far forward to use it comfortably?
@ChinaDrivenАй бұрын
You can move that front passenger seat using the rear screen. So you can move it backwards...who cares about the person in the front. You in the back, you big boss man.

was considering to buy P7 RWD , I have no idea if those are going to be available in my country though , do you think it is worth it to wait for this one ? also are we getting a new P7i this year ? the improvements being made in these cars seems to be going to fast , it feels like your car will be obsolete a couple of months after buying it
@ChinaDrivenАй бұрын
It does feel like something better is always around the corner! No word on a new P7i this year. I think it depends what you prioritise more. space and comfort is the P7+. Driving dynamics the P7i
@GRANDIZERmАй бұрын
@@ChinaDriven my current car is an Alfa Romeo , so driving dynamics definitely is important for me , I test drove the P7i and it did very well in that regard , except for some under-steering in tight turns due to it's sheer weight
@ChinaDrivenАй бұрын
@@GRANDIZERm Have you driven the perf. version? It has a rwd bias AWD set up. But weight it always going to be a thing with EVs
@GRANDIZERmАй бұрын
Yeah I did drive the perf version , they did not have the RWD one available for a test drive Took a hard turn in a roundabout and I had to slow down , the sales person said I could have probably kept pushing , but didn’t feel comfortable doing that in a test car Thank you for the review and the responses , pulling the trigger on an EV for the first time is not an easy decision for sure 😅

I wish the P7 was bigger, I appreciate trying to make it low and compact but I just can't fit in it, it's too small for taller people. This + model misses the mark for me, I don't want it to move towards yet another SUV. I wish they just scaled it up with more performance and a slightly bigger chassis.
@ChinaDrivenАй бұрын
@@Sossingro well this is bigger so you can give it a try. But the rear head room isn’t still crazily roomy.
@SossingroАй бұрын
@ChinaDriven From my perspective (so not in person) it looks like it's gone into the crossover SUV segment rather than what we had before. Is that the case? Maybe holding out and seeing whether there will be a P9 will be necessary..
@ChinaDrivenАй бұрын
@@Sossingro No it's still very much a sedan. It's not a replacement of the P7i, I think we will see a new sporty P7i later. This is more space and comfort.
