There is , online already. Pro i is better with main cam. Ultra wide is same. Zoom is better up to 2x on pro i. But 3-5,6,7x are logically a bit better on 1 iv

I am concerned about those overheating issues but I'm pretty sure that it's a software problem. Do you have any issues whilst gaming? I think severe thermal throttling would be very apparent there if it were an issue. Ps. Jealous you have the white model. I'm getting it on contract and only black is available 😭😂

It seems like this phone needed a little while longer in the oven before they launched it. Every video that I see about it seems to state that with even minimal camera usage the device tends to overheat. It sucks because Sony does make great looking hardware, but if they can't manage to control the heat that the device generates then what is the point of having all of the camera features this device offers? Aside from that, I'm never going to stop being annoyed that these companies give us absolutely nothing inside of the box.

@@EbNorth From the track record, it's sadly unlikely 😞. I am now finally forced to shift to Samsung. I hope Sony will someday be able to finally get their s*** right. Until then I am shifting sadly. I would've have if my Xperia 1ii had not broken.

@@the_matchless unlikely? The mark 3 overheated like crazy and Sony patched it with an update. I'm not too worried. I'm sure Sony will fix it based in history. And the galaxy 22 is also overheating and I don't trust Samsung with fixing it.

@@EbNorth my dear I have been using Sony since mid 2000s back then they were called Sony Ericsson. I have plenty experience with their devices and have been patiently waiting for them to finally crack it. With 1 mark ii I felt they were very close and I loved my experience with it. However, honestly that overheating issue is very real with Sony. While my 1 mark ii wasn't very bad, it wasn't very reliable either. They got notorious with Xperia z4, back then it was mainly CPU related issue and wasn't really Sony's own fault. With 1 mark 4 they can throw any patch at it but if they haven't done enough for heat dissipation then they'll only be going for throttling which isn't good at all. This is the same company that made Xperia pro with the largest vapour chamber so they definitely know what they should've done here. It truly brakes my heart as not only Sony had become my identity as I bought them even when they are no longer available properly in the market, but it saddens me also due to the fact that the 1 mark IV otherwise is the closest to that "dream device" on paper as it gets. I want to see how different the experience is when it comes to Samsung. However, I may hump back soon as I get the chance. I just hope Sony doesn't spin out of the mobile sector and that they get things right sooner.

@@the_matchless Firstly. I've been using cell phones since the early 90s. And Sony phones since it's Ericson days as well. Sony fixed the heat issues with the mark 3, so I'm confident they'll do it again with the mark 4. Samsung phones have overheating issues, charging issues and screen issues. Plus they have ugly holes on the screens. Personally, I'd avoid Samsung.

Hm, overheating issue is the best of the best too :). For some reason OnePlus 10 Pro doesn't overheat like Xperia at the same conditions.

did you use the 120fps or 60fps when it started overheating? and or did you see a big difference with this ?

Nope. I only recorded in 4k 30 fps which is the default in Video Pro. Will test out the other options later.

What is your opinion of telephoto pics? I used to own 1iii and now 1 iv and I think that telephoto's pics are worst than 1iii pic's. What is your firmware?

My firmware is 64.0.A.5.27 The 4.4x zoom on 1 III is a bit sharper than the 5.2x on the 1 IV. Zooming further shows that the 1 IV has an edge over the 1 III. Also 3.5x on the 1 IV is better than the 2.9x on the 1 III. But you are right Sony has to update it.

The lack of a charger and cable is really silly since only the Sony charger uses the full potential. Paying extra when the phone is this expensive... meh.

Maybe you can help check the temperature when it is overheating. Found from another video that the issue is because Sony triggers overheating at a lower temperature than others.

Yes I also noticed that. 44°C and it kicks in already. Way to early

@@lltechview from the video, some model even triggers at 37°C, which is too low for SD8Gen1. Probably this is why it is constantly overheats for most people. Hopefully it can be improved with a firmware update.

I recently bought the Pro-I and I have concerns regarding the bottom speaker, which doesn't seem to have a mesh. Like the 1 IV, it's shallow on the left and deep on the right, but it looks open, with a chamber, and I think there may be a small bottom firing speaker with a mesh inside, but basically no visible mesh if you look at the phone normally without flashing light into the chamber. Is it normal?

@Azhar Rafa I bought the xperia 1 IV first but had to return it deu to overheating problems. It even overheated by normal use and didn't let me use the 120hz refreshrate. Now I bought the iPhone 13 pro max. I wish the sony was reliable but I am happy I made the choice
