I'll be moving from my Sony Xperia Z3V (Verizon bastardized variant) to the HTC 10. I've never been a fan of TouchWiz or their nav button placement on the Samsung phones, though I know they have the best camera and best screen, and now have IP68 water and dust protection just like the Sony phones. The HTC 10 though is just gorgeous. The Ice View case is like having an always on screen without the battery drain, and the SuperLCD5 panel is very color accurate and nice. The big thing for me is the wifi speed and the headphone quality, and the HTC 10 is the winner for me there. My brother's HTC One M8 consistently destroys my Xperia Z3V in wifi speed and headphone voltage output.

Really there is something wrong with your WiFi connection, because x performance always gives an antutu score of above 138k,and of course sony doesn't give such low speeds in WiFi. I am damn sure that you have used xperia x and not the x performance. Other than that, speed test (app opening), net browsing test, multitasking test all these are faster and much better on the x performance in practical life and better than all of these phones that you had in your table. Don't compare imaginary factors and bring it to real life. Then notice how the x performance can beat everyone.

I bought a xperia x performance for about $400, there is a lot I like about, but it is NOT waterproof, at least mine. I have sent it in for service two times already because of water damages (I think). I put it 30 cm under water for 30 sec the first time, the second time I just gave it a "light" clean under the sink, disappointed. The first time, the screen went cracy and started tapping everywhere, the second time it wouldn't charge. Sorry for wasting your time, I'm justa little frustrated about it.

Yes I agree,I get great WiFi speed with my oneplus 3,that speed test app is unpredictable at times,you have to give it at least 5 goes to get an accurate score not just one test. But not sure why you are getting poor WiFi with the oneplus 3 though?

I would like to say that your reviews are well done! I don't agree on the benchmark results from Antutu and Geekbenck. The results are fake. They favour certain devices and disable API's driving CPU processing and Gpu acceleration in specific devices. Your wifi test is botched if you have any devices connected that use slower network speeds. The connection speed automatically lowers to accommodate 3G Chinese devices. For the fist four months since the launch of HTC 10 .. it has been a Bell exclusive or you buy it outright. HTC modo is " silently brilliant " it also needs to be set to high performance mode or benchmarks only run at 60% CPU. Sony devices always do an app check at start up. It will never score well there. Doing benchmarks with loaded system produces low scores. The results are uploaded online and used to brand that device and in time just kill it. As most people look at the scores to make educated buying decisions. Apple and a few others use co- processer to speed launch times. The bottom line is they all work well and each have their own strengths and weaknesses. There is no way beyond personal usage that you or any one can say which is better... all have various programs running in the background that have their own priorities. There is also the difference between dynamic high contrast filters and NTFS standards in pictures and videos..most devices comply to NTFS standards as filters can be applied later... personal preference really. I have never seen the picture quality produced from some of those devices by real people. I have all these devices and I have come to realize that the fastest mobile CPU is not always the best tool for the job!... high res audio over 80 decibels with permanently destroy your hearing. 16 bit audio can appear to be louder simply because of the frequency range used. Doesn't mean the sound is bad!

personally until Fall 2015 i liked sony phones over any other android offering...but X Performance was a lost cause after Xperia Z5 but X Performance display is killer is this comparison... anyhow sony knows how to ruin smartphone business and they did a pretty good job with X series line up for 2016 * confusing naming conventions * poor marketing * no carriers * 6 months upgrade cycle * confusing line up (XA looks better than so called flagship X performance) and now we have XZ (which looks awesome imo)... i mean WTF? this how they did it in past 2 years Z3+ (1H 2015) -> Z5 (2H 2015) -> X Perf (1H 2016) -> XZ (2H 2016) -> what next? -_- we already know that after galaxy s7...galaxy s8 will come being the flagship (easy to market, better for consumer memory) but what is Sony's management people thinkin? just a couple of months ago users were happy with Z5 and were waiting for a follow up device aka Z6 in 2016...but hey guess what some stupid business person in sony mobile HQ killed the Z series... sony makes great phns but loves to ruin em...they dont need competitors

you all are forgetting that Sony's Xperia X performance is a new series, it's just like Xperia Z... it can only get better. Samsung continued with their Galaxy series, so with the other phones, Sony has a new series now. that's why it comes with a 3gig ram and a full HD display instead of a 4k display (remember they introduced waterproofing and also ultra high resolutions to smart phones) stop comparing Sony phones to others phone that obviously copy from Sony. Sony is such a letdown. For the price of the Xperia X I would expect a lot more. The reason the screen looks nice and vibrant is because of its size, really, so the pixels are condensed into a smaller space. This is all coming from an Xperia Z5 user... R.I.P Sony.
