No 4L V6 ITS a Inline 6 cylinder with 4.2l the Tracks you showed the Car on are drivable with a VW Golf.

There is a V6 petrol version available in 2020. The 4.2 straight six is the old diesel engine, which is still available, in parallel with the new 4.5 V8 diesel. You can view them all on www.dubicars.com/

@@prodigalexpatriate1186 any experience with the website and importing into Europe?
@prodigalexpatriate11864 жыл бұрын
@@TundZ131185 I have not yet imported a LC78 or LC79 from UAE into Europe but I intend to do so. Why? Because the prices in UAE and neighbouring Gulf States are the lowest and the build-and-price options are the greatest. Of course one can buy in Europe from several outlets like www.transautomobile.com/en and www.pktrucks.com/en but their prices are higher. Please note that LC78 & LC79 are not EU specification compliant and therefore need to either be made to comply or you need to get Single Vehicle Approval, which is an EU standards exemption granted by paying extra tax or fees. Mostly it is all about exhaust gas emissions. The new 4 litre V6 petrol engine is already EU compliant. The diesels are not emissions compliant so that means either fitting a catalyser or paying extra emissions taxes at the place of registration. The 4.5 litre V8 diesel is cleaner so theoretically less emissions tax is payable. However in some jurisdictions the extra tax is calculated on engine size so the 4.2 straight six diesel would incur marginally less tax. Loophole jurisdictions for licensing, registering and taxing a vehicle in Europe are Gibraltar, Channel Islands, and possibly some of the other tax havens, but I do not have specific information on the other tax havens. You need to be extremely careful as some jurisdictions require you to be resident in their country in order to license and register a vehicle in their jurisdiction. So you MUST do your homework very well. Registering the vehicle in the name of a commercial company is possible but is a very bad idea when overlanding as customs officials always want to see the vehicle registered in the driver or passenger's name. Some people have their LC78 or LC79 permanently registered outside the EU, for example in UAE, Morocco, Ukraine, Turkey etc. But again you need to make sure you get it all right before you do it. The UK is an option for Single Vehicle Approval. It's difficult but possible. I hope this helps. Let me know if you discover any new concrete information.
