One of my friends has recommended this pole to me. Does the upper dome leave any marks on ceilings that aren't smooth? can they even be used on these ceilings? hello. this version of the -x-pole seems a little too difficult to install. the x-joints are hard to loosen and tighten. I noticed this video is two years older past the time i have purchased my pole but is the most updated version I have come across. the base is not tightening to the "A" pole and mine does come with the x-joints. I have purchased the started kit for an additional $27, which is to include installation instructions, ( that I couldnt get) I just purchased my pole in June, so if there is any updated parts or videos to installation, please upload them. I have invested over $300 in this pole and would like to start using is or send it back for something more simple. Thank You!!!

What will happen if the pole is not under the stud accurately?

I know this comment is 7 years old, but for anyone in the future who have the same question; it will punch through the ceiling with enough force. The stud is a wooden beam that can handle the force on the pole. If you’re between studs in the dead area there’s nothing to support the pole. Think of when someone puts their fist through a wall into the empty space between studs. That’s what your pole will do, being off center or away from any studs will crack the ceiling and possibly punch through. You want to be anchored with the dome using the stud for tension support, not breakable drywall.

How “smooth” should the spin setting be? My Xpole, when on spin setting, doesn’t feel as smooth as when I use a spin pole within a studio. If I loosen the pole, it moves, so I don’t think I’ve overtightened it?? Help, please! Thanks in advance :)

I have a hard time with the hex screws, they wont screw anything, i have just put the parts together but i cant tightening the screws, it looks so easy on the video but mine wont move anything when i try to tighten them clockwise. I dont know what to do, and im afraid the screws are gonna get rounded.

Hi Vendela, the best way to put the screws in and make sure they don't round off, is to actually turn them clockwise against the thread to ensure they are fitting properly and when you can feel them sitting smoothly and straight, start tightening with a counter-clockwise motion :)

Vendela Lohaller and X-Pole.. I finally figured it out! The trick is to practice tightening and loosening it with the hex key when it's not in there to try to figure it out. I was doing the same thing as you were doing probably Vendela, I did not realize I was using the wrong hex key to tighten because there are two hex keys in the package and the other one had a silicone cover on it I didn't know I was supposed to take off

Hi there. We purchased a 40mm chrome xpole xpert 2014 model. We installed it following the video instructions. The only problem is some strange noises coming from the dome when we are rotating the pole relatively fast with our hands. It sounds like metal touches other metal. Its not loud but i just want to make sure that we dont do something wrong. I unistalled it and had the dome turn around the top adapter and it makes the same sound. Should we use any king of oil of lubricant? Thanks in advance.

Hi, I'm having problems with my 45mm xpole. My ceiling is 7"9 and I have tried both models in the instruction manual. With the 7"4-7"9 and a half I use the height adjuster but to reach the ceiling it extends over the maximum. With the 7"9-8"2 it is too tall. Any ideas?

Hey Maggie - at 2350mm (2.35m) - you should not require an extension. You would simply have to extend your adjuster, so that the pole reaches the desired height. If still in doubt, why not give our technical team a call?

+Brianna Lewis I had the same issue. The screws for spinning mode need to be loosen just a bit, but not to go outside of the pole itself. If you have a manual, check page 13 lower left picture (there's a red X saying when screws are loosened too much). Another issue for scratching: I at first used only 1 adjuster (based on the instruction for 160 cm). But it opened the lower part of the pole too much and there were some sharp pieces seen. So I added one more adjuser (2 altogether) and it worked great!

Hi. If you measure your floor to ceiling before purchasing, you can put that figure in on the pole product page and it automatically tells you if you need an extension. Always measure first; you wouldn’t buy a pair of shoes without knowing your foot size right? Same principle 😁

My concern is whenever I put the measurements and add to my basket and then click back on what’s in my basket the measurement that I have entered disappears? And when I go to check out it doesn’t specify the measurement I’m ordering other than the diameter of the pole- is this how it’s supposed to be? I even recorded a video 3 months ago explaining it but it’s in Spanish...😅 You have to unscrew the three screws that are almost at the end of the pole, and the last two screws for “static-spinning mode” put them in static (my father to make it even mooore strongly static let the screwdriver inside 1 of the screw hole and it worked!) Then u move the pole clockwise until it loosens up, then put it on the floor and loosen up every pole’s screws! 🤗😉

I have watched this video over and over and have come to the conclusion that my pole is defective. It will NOT adjust. I had my pole up and running perfectly for 2 years. I recently had the flooring done so I had to uninstall my pole. Now, when trying to reassemble my pole, I am having difficulty attaching the micro base plate. To begin with, base shaft rattles loosely around in the base plate even before I try to attach it. Is this normal? I do not remember it doing this before, although I could be wrong. Secondly, when inserting the shaft into pole A, it does not make a connection, and has about a 1/4 inch gap. Neither the manual nor the instruction video address this. What possibly could have happened?

Thurayya Gomez ok, you should be using the A pole, B pole and the 250mm extension for that height. Again, please ensure the X-JOINTs are regularly tightened to ensure a safe experience.

Hello! After I loosen the screws to expand it to the ceiling, it is not expanding upward - it is just spinning. What am I doing wrong?

+Carrie Myers Did you make sure to tighten the screws at the base? I imagine if those aren't tight enough that the pole would just spin without lengthening.. double check that!
