Imagine you watch a sprinter run and see him/her getting exhausted. Often times, trends slowly shift from bullish to bearish, and you can see it in the charts just by observing the angle of the price action compared to what it was doing before. You can physically see the price "slowing down" Less volume can suggest exhaustion it depends
