Even in practice, its better to learn the reference points for breaking, turn in and throttle then to try following the line. Because the reference points are adaptable for each car and also gives you much better intuition for new cars, and also makes you more flexible during races.

so dope to see him ranking up so quick.... these ferarris are difficult cause they have no weight on the front end (all in back), so you constantly need to keep the fronts gripped up with weight of the car, normally trail braking everywhere, and more straight lines of exit than other cars...

Bro, that Force feedback meter at the top right corner of your screen is going red way too often. In this way you'll lose too much detail in your wheel. You should lower your wheel's force feedback strength in the iracing settings to have the Force feedback meter always in the green. Good luck in your sim racing journey!

Love to see you starting to cook! Just a general suggestion to improve a lot in these cars - don't be on a rush to push the throttle on exit. If you go on the gas to early, the car will understeer out and you need to lift in order to correct it (in other words it makes you lose time). Go slow in, be fast out. Great job so far though, huge improvement from the first videos we saw!

He doesn't need the three monitor setups, but something to where he is more comfortable to sit and play the game with. Just hire somebody to order and build the shit for you and have everything there in the corner to plug and play. I'm talking microphone, mouse, keyboard, adjustable camera, DD wheel, and load cell pedals. All with a click of a button on obs.

@heavensadistancenotaplace
@heavensadistancenotaplace 3 ай бұрын
no, getting rich from gaming lets you go racing. if ur good at sim and not an influencer, unless ur 1/100000, u wont get any opportunity to race irl outside of local hobby stuff that you'll have to pay for at a loss. if ur shit at sim and rich, u can race as much as u want because pay drivers often are the only reason some teams can go racing at all. i have idk how many records in richard burns rally, for older cars anyway; i'll never get an opportunity, even if i have times faster than wrc2 drivers who also play. the best guy in RBR is a hobbyist codriver irl, but he won't get a chance as a driver from that alone unless he's willing to pay. shit sucks honestly
@JamesSheldonUnofficial
@JamesSheldonUnofficial 3 ай бұрын
@@heavensadistancenotaplaceit is true that to race you need money but some drivers have gotten opportunities with no money involved such as Elvis Rankin and Suellio Almeida to name a few. Also I argue Jody Cleenwerck is the best driver who plays rbr as when he doesn't crash (or even when he does lol) nobody can beat him on pace.
@heavensadistancenotaplace

@@JamesSheldonUnofficial imo, Adrian Sadowski and Oscar Estevez are the 2 best in my head. Oscar esp I really respect since he runs old and new cars, and on cz he was the one I'd primarily be competing with on record times. dude is insanely talented and can drive anything well, he's way better than me tbh (esp cus ive had to stop playing much after my irl car accidents but wanting to get better makes me want to play more which kinda sux cus its hard lmao.) and yes, some drivers have made it w.o being rich; but they are significant outliers. one can look towards iracing, huge game, how many of the pro esports drivers have made it pro irl? very, very, very few. some of them had to win tournaments specifically designed to let them race irl. fact is is that for 99.99999% of ppl, sim by itself is not some ladder to professional racing. if i went and paid 3k for rally school, which i want to do at some point jus for fun, i've no doubt that after acclimating i'd be a lot better off than most ppl jumping into an impreza on a rally course for the first time; i may actually do really well. but yknow ford isn't gonna come hollering at me to become a factory driver even if i start competing in RBR tourneys and somehow just destroying or something, ford aint chasing ppl from sim and beating Gryazin in WR or tourneys isn't gonna make some1 in some WRC or ERC team's eyebrows raise. sad fact is that racing primarily is money locked. if u got money, u can compete irl and be a ""professional driver"" even if ur SOF races on iracing are only 2k (like crimsix)
@heavensadistancenotaplace
@heavensadistancenotaplace 3 ай бұрын
@@JamesSheldonUnofficial uhh i made another response to this but its not showing up, ill summarize in-case it was too long or got auto-moderated or smthn: oscar estevez and adrian sadowski are the best ive seen. oscar esp cus he drives mostly old cars (like i do) n who i'd primarily be competing with for records. but he can also drive new cars really, really well too (which im not so good at since i've spent little time comparatively in them.) he inspired me a lot to get better, and if it weren't for 2 irl car accidents that severely limit how much i can play, i'd still be trying to get better than him. few iracing pros get to race professionally irl, unless they win some special tourney specifically for it. uhh what else did i say, oh yea crimsix races in 2k SOF races, yet he has the money to "race professionally" (notice my quotation marks). sadly it's not skill gated (for the very vast majority, some slip thru the cracks) it's money gated. if i grinded rbr, got hella hella hella good, started winning tourneys in new cars, i'd never get a chance even if i beat Gryazin constantly yknow? ppl like Jody won't get a chance, sadly, even if they deserve a look unless he gets funding. xqc has a higher chance of getting a ride than anyone even if he's hard-stuck in 1k SOF races and blames his mistakes on every1 else in replays, jus cus he's famous and has money+sponsors. if a team loses races, has to bin cars every race, but somehow makes a profit on sponsors + merch + attention, they'll take the chance. see ppl like stroll + mazepin, completely undeserved F1 rides yet look how it worked out cus daddy can jus fund a team. it is wat it is, pay drivers make the world go-round (not that all pay drivers are bad, see ben keating for a really, really good pay driver)
@JamesSheldonUnofficial
@JamesSheldonUnofficial 3 ай бұрын
@@heavensadistancenotaplace my last reply got deleted too so I will also change a few things. So Jody is better because he beat Oscar on pace in URS and if he wanted to he could probably get every world record, he already has 9 but doesn't play much. Either you race because you have money or because you are one of the best. I know what you said if you beat grayzin all the time you would still never get an opportunity, but truthfully if you were doing that, you would already be in a real car. Jody has been racing since he was little and at 14 he got a chance to race in the fia rallystars event, because he was good enough. The reason some drivers who are very good at rbr don't race is just because it takes time and money which they could spend, but don't because they are too old or have families they care more about or jobs they like. I know a driver called Martin vbrec and he is good, but even he would admit they are lots better than him, but that did not stop him from buying a Toyota Yaris and turning into a rally car in which he does events in. I hope you recover from your accident and if you ever think about trying racing just remember it costs a lot and will take a lot of time, but you can do it.
