In XQC defense Cheese moves- is when an individual uses a strategy that is cheap, unfair or too overpowered Example: Spamming one move that does lots of damage is an example of cheese. Even if XQC learned to shield right, a person could use a cheese move to break his shield or just wait for him to exit shield and then hit him with it. And considering his skill level, it wouldn't be hard to do it.

Super Smash Bros is a good game, but you just have to watch out for the following people 1:Toxic players 2:Spamming players 3: Cheese players, Cheese- a strategy that is unfair, cheap or overpowered. 4:Tryhard players 5:Cheaters the game is fun to play with, you just have to watch out for those people.

@@Brownthetails1993 to add onto this. (Good insights btw) but a few other things. Don’t pick your main based on tier lists as it really mostly matters in pro play. Spamming and cheese players are going to be a problem but keep in mind that pro players don’t have a problem against them because they know how to counter them. If a move is being spammed on you, (like pk fire..) experiment with different counters (or in this game the term punish is used a lot) until something works. And as far as toxic players. I’d say one in every 5 or 6 players teabag. Not too bad as most of the toxicity comes in chats. Practice recovery and learning which moves come out faster or have you waiting a long time after using the move (startup frames and end lag)

Strategy in smash is using combos, exploiting your opponents weaknesses in skill, and using your strengths to the best of your ability. It requires skill, effort, and smarts.

@@Brownthetails1993 First of all, lets define what strategy is. Strategy: A plan of action to achieve a long term or overall aim. Putting it in context with smash, that overall aim would be taking your opponent's stocks and winning the game. If you are playing against someone, and you see that he/she is weak against spamming and does not adapts, then in this situation, spamming is a good strategy and if it works theres no reason on stop doing it because eventually, it will lead you to your overall aim which is winning the game. I will put an example, Maister a top PGR player that uses Game and Watch sometimes adopts the spamming strategy when spamming GnW up b and smash attacks when knowing the weak spots of his opponents, just that he knows when to start doing it and when to stop. The thing is that in top level play, adopting spamming as your main strategy is a really bad idea because it is an extremely easy strategy to notice and comes down with basic counterplay since the majority of the roster does not has a reliable spammable move that will win you most neutral interactions against good players. Related to this video, we see XQc losing against a Bowser Jr spamming dash attack, in this case doing this strategy was extremely effective because XQc never shielded, when he did he tried to punish the wrong way, and it was less likely for he to whiff punish.
