@@gingythescot1161 its important to note that "random" has been a common humour technique as long as humans can remember, and its an easy way to get a chuckle out of almost any audience. i think chat cringes not because of the joke, but because of the person making the joke, a 14 year old. however, it is not possible to deny that some jokes on tik tok are truly awful as well. loud is slightly different though. in the past loud has mainly been used to scare an audience, but in the last decade or so as the internet grows loud has become increasingly popular as a humour technique, and many despise of this. loud as a humour technique is made to exaggerate confusion or to give the viewer a bit more of a sensory experience as they tell the punchline. i believe as humour adapts to the new generation, the older generations hate it because its not what they are used to, which is strikingly similar to the whole boomer situation at the moment. by the looks of things, if you hate loud then either adapt to change, or turn your volume down, because loud isn't leaving anytime soon...
