NP started failing when the people who want to push consequences on everyone started to take over the server at the end of 3.0. Everyone was complain about the grind so Crane thought it was a great idea to bring in debtors law basically overnight, Moon was doing his DiddyRP, Kylie was just a mix of both Moon and Crane, Andi blocked any business rp starting just because she didnt want crims owning a business, BCSO put Kyle in cuff an hour into his mayor arc. All these people crashed out or just stop waking up when they would face anytype of pushback but in the same breath tell others people couldnt handle consequences in rp. 4.0 has been nothing but a bunch of weird people being control freaks because they write laws for an rp world lmao

I also believe that gate keeping certain things like restaurants or the HQ and hideout apps fosters an environment that promotes in-game in the head grinding. It allows groups monopolize those areas where its almost impossible to allow new players that do not have that outlet. Ever since those additions, restaurants, hideout, I've noticed a lack of interaction and has made the server where players just stay in doors and grind grind grind with no interactions. RP still has viewers. 2019 boom and the 2021 and 2023 wipes proved it can be done again and again. NoPixel failed because the owners are bad at owning a server. NoPixel failed because the same 5 people have been controlling/gatekeeping RP for years now. NoPixel failed because the same cops are still in control of PD 6 years later. NoPixel failed because of grudges held by other players, admins, and owners. NoPixel failed because it's not about RP anymore it's about grinding to progress. NoPixel had issues with long term playability, of course no one wants to sit in a truck for 12 hours to earn $500. No one wants to ride around all day in queue for jobs.

So I played on NP Public at the beginning of 3.0 > a couple months into 4.0 and my opinion is that Public didn't get enough attention from the devs, when it's literally not only funding the entire operation, but also the breeding grounds for new talent. Prime nopixel was at a point where everyone logged on public was paying $300+/month to play the server, and if you're willing to pay that much to play a video game even though it's a "public" server it really wasn't the RP was high quality. Sure not as much as the Main, but that's mainly because it's not our career like it is theres. They can spend more time developing Lore because their being paid to play vs. paying to play. 3.0 was good, but it didn't get the attention it deserved from the devs, things like no restocking the cars, or implementing stupid fucking rules like only being able to do X once per tsu or shit like that. What 4.0's downfall was, is it was actually fresh and unique with the job systems, and rep giving unique perks was awesome, but they made it WAY too hardcore. I mean fuck I was playing 12 hours a day and even I was falling behind and getting burnt out from how hardcore it was. I spent like hundreds of hours picking fucking garbage, because I thought it would matter lol, but they just made it way too hardcore, everything was too expensive. My group and I were the first to buy a house in mirror park, we had hella GPU's etc. we were defiantly some of the richest on the server, and even then shit still felt so expensive that it was just not worth the effort, so I can only imagine how the casual's felt. I think what makes RP so fun during these fresh wipes, is the evolving story line of crime, jobs, social etc. Doing like patches every 3-6 days that add new lore, new things to discover. The evolving story line is what made it such a gem. But they butchered it

The went for the EAsports model over providing constant updates. EAsports cycle is a similar game every year (season) with 'paywall' loot boxes to upgrade things. As a consequence the life span of each game is around a month because whats the point in grinding so much when nothing updates and the next one will be out in 10/11 months. Announcing 5.0 instead of just making 4.0 better killed it.

The kind of RP I was seeing in 2.0 and early 3.0 was free of wild chats and comments influencing the kind of content the streamers were making. People would get into the RP regardless of a game mechanic. Into 4.0 a lot of the big streamers were just big-dicking, from my perspective at the behest of their chats. The self-inserts turned into wish fulfilment and it just started getting kind of shitty to the people who were still trying to RP for RP's sake. X was part of that, tbh. I also don't think he's wrong about most of what he's said here.

I don't beleave the argument how dev's who know what they are doing and are responsible are hard to find. It's more so that the owners did not want to go over applicants to assemble a team to pay. Depends on who you watch to be honest. The server has it's flaws, but in the end it depends on who you watch. If you are a viewer from a gang that only plays around mechanics the server is shit. if koil/management was smart they would have brought in buddha and kebun as 50% partners and truly pushed both groups as the focal point of roleplay. the fact that they chose x over kebun was laughable. then to further kick themselves in the nuts management allowed the wrong people to steer the direction of 4.0. which meant people like moonmoon and crane killed almost all of CG's progression and content which in turn killed 75% of rp in the entire server. so much so that CG finally just left. nopixel has been dead ever since. not dead as in im sure nopixel is still making money but dead as in arcs and storylines and content. to look back and see management actively killing your #1 content creating group (by a large margin btw) is such a dumb decision. hopefully management changes before 5.0 or we will be back in the same place after a few months anyway.

CG has been playing on the Prodigy server for months without mentioning any other server, unlike most streamers that went to Purple, ONX or stayed in NoPixel, that fact alone says a lot about the state of the other servers. When NoPixel 4.0 launched, they had no hesitation leaving Prodigy 1.0. But when it flopped and Prodigy 2.0 was announced, they switched back. Pointing out that Loaded owns Prodigy feels like nothing more than a cope out for NoPixel 4.0 flopping. At what point does the narrative change from "they're being sponsored" to "Prodigy is the better server for their type of roleplay"? CG will be where the content is better, simple as.

Clamp down on the cops first for bad RP and rule breaks and it will improve the entire server. Your viewers and big streamers will come back. You will attract devs, you ever think it's also hard to find devs because they avoid this dumpster fire like the plague? If you want NP to grow you HAVE to treat it like a public business entity, this "its private it's our island" mentality is exactly what grows toxicity like mould. Ordinary people don't want to be part of it. When you have a server everyone wants to be part of, you will automatically attract the best people. Go take courses on business management, people management etc, NP is massive, it should be taken to the next level or it will die a slow and mediocre death. You can't expect random gamers to be professionals, running a project that is earning a lot of money for itself and others. You have to improve yourselves as managers at some point or it's going to fail. At some point you have to wake up and realise the server health is poor, and it will all end unless you address what the problems are, no more theories and speculating. It just seems so aimless. Like what is the aim actually? Bringing viewers back? Bringing good roleplayers back? Is it just about throwing as many logs into the fire and hoping one of them lights up? There has to be a clear aim. Is it a content server, or is it a strict RP server? That question should have been answered in 3.0 and still hasn't been.

This is exactly why servers like redlinerp are one of the top servers not only are criminals allowed to own businesses and not spend months grinding but they can also hold public offices the server encourages creative rp as long as it's not straight out rdm or vdm it had to have a story behind it or motivation

He definitely would. Prodigy has a lot of crim content, from gang stuff, small jobs and Heist. There's a lot to do, I imagine once the server gets rid of a lot of the bad apples on the server they will be a great server. The cops also aren't atrocious and want to shoot people every second. They actually attempt to catch a person fairly rather than instantly shooting a person over a pit or something. They also don't have 16 cops on a store robbery or a small crime. Jail time is much better managed, and so are queues.

2026 it will come to PC, 2027 possibly even 2028 a new fiveM service. Good ways off for modded servers to go up. And this is being generous we are not sure if they are even launching GTA online within a year or so of the original launch. FiveM has to be on a before Version before the current of Online so they are constantly behind one, so there's a chance that it might not even come till 2029, even then they have to develop a whole new system like FiveM. Unless Rockstar is willing to work with the developers of FiveM servers and give them access to GTA 6 so they can create it right away.
