You've got my sub. I was on the fence between 1st & 2nd gen. Your video was EXACTLY the info I needed to make that decision. It also made me realize that I need the Beam to optimize my use case scenario, which would be to more finely tune the virtual display size. I will use this 100% for work with AutoCAD & 3D modeling. I’ve got the Xreal Air’s. I’m relatively satisfied with them. I don’t see enough of a jump between the two new glasses to buy the new ones. I’d say the biggest convenience is now being able to use the Air with an IPhone 15 without an adapter, but that can be done on any model. Beam wise… It’s more work and limitation than the 330 inch screen is worth at the moment. If you have a Samsung Phone you can just use Nebula OR maybe one day they’ll release it on IOS. As a current user I’d wait, but if you’re new, the Pro’s ability to black the screen without the cover may come in handy at some point. Also if you have glasses it’s probably about $170 bucks or so for a prescription insert.

Hi there. Nice to find a non paid reviewer. The only flaw is that I think you have the cases backwards. The hinged one is from the air 2 and the divided one is from the first edition. But maybe I've misunderstood you

True. I had to look at mine and was thinking I got the wrong one. A divider for the cord would’ve been nice, but I use the cleaning cloth it came with and it works just fine.

You have your cases backwards. Xreal Air 1s came with the zipper case (I have them) with the separator for cabling, the Xreal Air 2s do not.

Hi. Good video. Everything correct, except for ONE SMALL HUGE DEFECT of the Air 2 Pro compared to the first model. Having the two smaller monitors, the icons and writing at the edges of the screen (for example those you have when transmitting the PC desktop) are very blurry, often illegible. Both on the right and left edges. The situation improves a little if you attach your eyes to the lenses of the glasses (your eyelashes must press against the lenses) and tilt the temples upwards, without letting them rest on your ears, but it is a position in which you absolutely cannot keep the glasses . This HUGE DEFECT makes the air 2 pro UNUSABLE for work. If a person uses them to work on the PC, they are absolutely no good and the first model is much, much better in this aspect. 0 blurry icons, 0 blurry writing. Perfect. Obviously I'm not making this up, it's simply what I was able to personally test after hours of comparative tests, given that I have both the xreal air1, the air 2 and the air2 Pro. When you do reviews, tell them all the things. Both positive and negative ones. Nobody gives people money and these products are, among other things, also expensive. Bye

Personally I returned the first version of the Xreal Airs because it was blurry around the edges and unusable for work. Looking at forums it seemed like it was luck of the draw getting one that wasnt blurry or was.

no mention of the small fov (smaller lenses) in the 2. version. this video is useless and potentially misleading. many people have this problem with blurred edges on the 2. but you tell me how nice the plastic covers have become. thanks.

the thing that gets me is they made the light panel SMALLER on the new glasses. i don't know how anyone can justify that. i already had problems with how small the display was on the first glasses so i'm really skeptical about these ones. great review btw!

Aloha- you have your cases backwards in the review. The Air1 is the zipper case and the Air2 is the hard clamshell. Easy to confuse them because the Air1 case is soooo much better than the Air2 case. The downgrade makes no sense.

Beam as a few hour of battery also that's weight which bring these glasses back into the clunky vr headset of the pass again if the battery were included too but sure they possibly get the OS board down to even a micro/nano chip on the ext

will say one thing that wasnt correct is that on the Pro version the electrochomatic dimming function is not on a button on the other arm, but is rather on the same button you use to turn the display on and off. double tap to change display and single tap to toggle dimming between 0, 33% and 100%,. if you have the lenses on a certain dimming setting and turn it off, it will go back to 0% and back again to whichever setting it was when it was on when you toggle the screen back on.

I'm waiting on my stuff to be delivered. I didn't realize the Beam could have Amazon Prime Video installed natively .....That's realy good because I know the rokid joy player does that but I didn't realize the Beam also could do some of that. I'm 90% interesting in using as a display for existing devices but I can see a small ammount of time where popping into a natively stored APV app could be good to have still.

a specific use case i like to use is i toggle google maps on using Samsung Dex (fullscreen external display desktop mode on phone) and use it on the dimmest setting for driving during the day.

I use my Air's on a plane without the Beam and it's okay. It's easier to use them without the beam when you're laying down and your head is stationary because without the beam the image is all over the place. I can only imagine how fucked up it'd be on a bumpy train lol. I have the Beam as well and I was on the fence about getting one. I'd say get it because if you wanna use your Beams with a PC it's huge. I would totally have been upset without the beam lol.

I got a pair of air 2 for Christmas yesterday! I'm going to be honest! I like them. The only draw back? You are looking at a huge television screen and your eyes need time to work that out.

@loutenit9039 Yes on the resolution! Go to settings. Second, so far. I have found that the app. Does not connect and that's a big issue. The Asian company does not have much English translation. They don't come with instructions. Luckily they are easy to "just play with to figure them out! The effect that came from earlier glasses has been worked out with these. You don't get that cross section that distracte you when watching. It actually looks like you are watching a huge television screen! These are great for that! I like really enjoy them!

I find the huge screen claim on all of these item to be silly, they look like a monitor in front of you, that's all. If you want install a miniature set of little theater benches in front of your computer monitor and imagine your monitor is an IMax, it's just as imaginary to think otherwise.

So the best I gather is sunglasses-style monitors to watch big screen movie in park, airport, etc. But Im unclear if you walk around and have a heads-up display with controls. Is there intelligence in them with a cpu and apps??? Or just hdmi connected devices. But maybe delete the part where you say you'll explain what they are

One of the biggest issues we have is her wanting to watch some stupid show she’s into, and me, wanting to play some call of duty. I just bought them and I use them while at work.. Watched 2 full movies while working.. For that reason specifically they are well worth the money, I drive a forklift for work and I can see the movie and everything I need to see around me, also the screen is very high quality way better then I expected

Idk if you're figured it out yet but lightning doesn't support displayport by default so you need either an av adapter from apple + xreal adapter for iphone or you can use the xreal beam

Where are the useful infos that only Google/apple have access to by listening/watching when you don't know, could be used to automatically identify music, provid context to names, faces, places, or actual useful information like the best prices on gas when needed. @@youtubebrowser1730 iPhone works with USB C iPhones which are 15.... You just plug and works, no apps, nothing.... Beam works with iPhone by casting however not recommended due to casting Refresh rate limitations for some usage..... The apps only in Android, Mac, PC.... They are pretty much useless to me apart of updating the glasses through them... And Yes I do have them and multiple ones, if you want a better entertainment choice go for Rokid Max + Rokid Station, it's a Google TV device doesn't need your phone Edit: oh Rokid Max is now 299$ making it a decent offer with Rokid station
